@hobbo I read your post , why did you delete it ? I’m not on the brooks happy clapper trail . I’ve said it before , if we can get someone better , we should go for it . He needs to go to the Raiders and do the right thing by himself . But we as a club should not be trying to get rid of him , as there just isn’t anyone better out there .
The Walker kid , was talked about a year or 2 before his debut , same with cleary . Outside of those 2 , name another half who’s available , and works within our current timeline ? Hastings ? Come on man , you can’t be serious ?

The Sullivan talk from the dragons ? Yep I’d take him , and say to brooks , you can move on mate . Because he’s going to be better than brooks .
What irritates me , is he gets the blame for all our losses , and no credit for the wins . It used to be the halfback got all the credit for the wins , and the coach all the vitriol for the losses .

This is what I defend . It’s not fair the amount of hate he gets . And it’s not accurate even despite whether it’s fair or not . It’s not accepting mediocrity , it’s facing the reality of the current nrl landscape .

As for the Pascoe stuff . I think he’s turned the club around financially , but I agree , he needs to move on and replaced with someone who has a better idea about what’s required to negotiate with players , and executives within the nrl .
But here’s the thing , we are so good financially now , if we lose him , is this new footy mind , going to be dog crap with building corporate backing , and negotiating with politicians eg. The COE.
I dunno , or is that what sheens is for ?
