Brooks sucks
He bottled it big time yesterday leaving it up to Mbye to try and create something ..
Just like Moses , Grant , Marshall, Farah and co were left to the task of making plays ..
I say pay punt him !
Who’s with me !?

Agree, but who is available?

I don’t think Madden is ready?

I'm not a Brooks basher but he frustrates the hell out of me. Mybe gets blasted for not doing enough yet if you try to take control of the game you get blasted for not allowing Brooks to play. There are no winners inside or outside of him and over waiting for it to change. I would hate to be his coach.

his debut game in first grade has cursed us . I watched him and Moses from Holy Cross days and was really excited to see him and Moses come through but he's always been mush more reserved compared to Moses. I think that shows in his style of play.

Can someone please tell me why on the fifth tackle when Brooks kicks,he always places himself
Right next to where the ball is played, giving him little time to get a kick away and placing himself under immense pressure??

So you don’t want to punt him altogether?

I have stated before, I am a fan of trialling Brooks at 9, just think it would suit his game.

I’d love to punt him but unfortunately he’s here until 2023

Play him at 9
All he has to do is tackle and get to dummy half ..
Not that hard !

I honestly think he could handle it with ease, he is fit, fast and can tackle.

Do we know how AD would handle 7?

I'm really unsure where the comments from James tamar and also madge came from, both had said Luke is doing things theyve never seen before in nrl but comes out round 1 and has a very average game.

Im not writing off Brooks yet, but he has had a good run.

But I will say this. He is not an 'off the cuff' player, never has been and never will be. I will get a few clips, but I reckon he is very much in the Cooper Cronk mould.

Cooper Cronk was not an off the cuff player either, everything so so miltarily precise in fact like a machine. But he was extremely good at following a plan and building pressure with the right kicking game.

The only difference, in my opinion, between Brooks and Cronk is the forwards they have served behind.

If you have years of a dominant forward packs, breaking the advantage line - and you are playing with the opposition defense moving backwards, then its a lot easier than trying to do the same thing with the opposition defense moving forward, getting good line speed and crowding you for room.

Until our forwards start dominating, then I think maybe a more Munster/Michael Morgan/ type half that makes up stuff as they go would be advantage for us. Thats not to say that Brooks isnt a good half, because he is every bit as good as a Cronk type in my opinion. I dont want Benji back, but thats why he was probably a little more succesful.

Sorry mate, he's nowhere near anything to do with Cronk. The only thing they have in common was they have both worn 7. Cronk might have been machine like but everything he did was for a purpose. He knew exactly where he wanted his team by the end of a set and how to go about getting them there. Brooks wouldn't have a clue. The sad part is at his age and experience now if he doesn't have it now he never will.
It's unfortunate and i think we all wanted it to work out, but it just hasn't. Barring a miracle for the rest of this year, the club will have to go in another direction to have sustained success.

Couldn’t be any worse than Brooks ?

I do agree, but Cronk was steering around a sports car Nd

I do agree but Cronk has always been driving a sports car wherever he went, where as Brooks is pushing an unregistered Datsun 180b uphill. Not exactly a fair comparison.

I like Brooks for hooker as long as he HAS to be in the team...
Height for passing might be an issue but ?

Pressure is mounting on Luke Brooks' place in the Wests Tigers squad after his poor Round 1 performance against Canberra.

Brooks, Moses Mbye and Jacob Liddle were all well below their best in their side’s 30-12 loss to the Raiders at GIO Stadium on Sunday. “One thing I envied about other footballers was the ability to not care when they made a mistake.

“The ability to make an error and not care is what he needs, to almost play without a conscience.

“When I saw Brooks put that ball out of the field yesterday, I thought 'oh no'.

“He’s a sensitive guy and I think sometimes he cares too much. I could see that weigh him down when he made the error.”

Voss believes the playmaker should use his blistering pace more often to create scoring chances.

“I think he needs to start using his legs more,” Voss said.

“He’s got enough speed to get through a hole, that creates chances.

“When Luke Brooks is running, the Tigers get on the front foot.”

Brooks and the Tigers face a tough task in Round 2 as they take on the Sydney Roosters on Sunday afternoon.

There are no excuses now. No Robbie or Benji, it's Brooks time to try and lead the team around.

His performance yesterday was sub par and one has to ask the question, does Brooks have the capability of leading the team around ?
