How long have you been watching us....
We've been a 2 back side since 2010 with Beau Ryan - Probably before....

Because we're soft in defence we can't afford to loose an extra body in the defensive line - even early on in the game
We're also lazy for the most part, Have zero urgency and no metal....
For so long now we've been the team with the talented kids - talented kids are the ones that never learn the game.... We need a team of workers prepared to earn it.
Jury is out on the new ring in young fellas, They're talented - But also used to winning.
When they have to go and get it.
Totally different game / mindset.

That’s a good point. In the 2nd half Brooks was caught with the ball on the 5th tackle. He was crawling towards the rooster’s line & I think eventually got stopped about 10 metres out. I think Johns comment was “at least he didn’t kick the ball dead this time” sarcastically. Brooks is clearly in a rut, a big one but I don’t think we can accusing him of not trying. I think he is definitely at the point where he needs to go back to NSW Cup & re-learn his trade or at least get his confidence back. Problem is whether or not Madden is ready for NRL as yet.

It was a desperate play. He is just out of his depth at the moment I think. Has he ever been dropped to NSW cup since his debut? Will hopefully be good for him & should’ve been done years ago.

He’s a handy footballer but he needs to be surrounded by quality players ..

Brooks tries hard. Unfortunately he seems a dumb footballer in a team full of them.

His running game was good yesterday, his kicking was terrible and passing not much better.

Does not play what is in front of him and others have mentioned game management, but I think it is more that he just cannot read a game.

I think that sums him up really well. Sort of struggled to understand why he couldn't put it together despite decent skills but this explains it well.
