The only thing I'm going to say on this thread is that the gutless people who abused him after the game should hang their heads in shame. The abuse that was directed towards Luke Brooks last night was disgusting.

Absolute cowards mate

If Ivan and Mick Potter had Brooks playing some good football, how come Madge has turned his performances into poo?

But they didn’t.

I can’t blame Brooks for sucking so much. His game never developed, cest la vie.

And I get that is it not his fault that he gets picked every week.

For this travesty I blame the coaches and management. Accountability starts with them.

How exactly is conceding 32 points a game the halfback's fault.
Defence, in particular kick defence is the problem, not the attack.

Nofa nd co. and their total inability to deal with any kick that comes their way is the problem.

The attack isn't perfect but they're scoring enough points to win games.

That literally makes no sense. Lost and "didn't win" are the same thing. Either it's his fault, or it isn't.

No there is a difference, sorry you don't see it.

Just one more time, so you can understand.

Lost = didn't win. On that I think we can agree (ignoring draws).

"It certainly wasn’t Brooks’ fault Wests Tigers lost that game"
"It certainly wasn’t Brooks’ fault Wests Tigers didn't win that game"

If Luke Brooks isn't responsible for losing, then he can't be simultaneously responsible for not winning. It's just not physically possible.

Well I can tell you one thing about Brooks ..was lucky enough to be sitting on the TRY-line where all but 2 TRIES were scored and can tell you when the Wests Tigers were behind the goal post Mr Tamou... when he was on ...stood tall like an Easter Island mute statue and Brooks was doing the talking ..Also during the comeback it was Brooks screaming and organising both right and left attack..

Which I thought was odd ..

Tamou did the same during the roosters shellacking

Never the fans fault.

Brooks will do well at the Cowboys under Payten. He hasn’t lived up to the hype and may never at the Tigers. It’s time to move on it’s a win win situation. Going nowhere and freeing up 800k or so is of greater benefit. We need a better team it’s why I’m against signing any big money players.

More signings like Stefano, Blore, Laurie, Douihei is the only way we will get the squad up to scratch and just hope the club has invested in pathways with players coming through.

The club has to build to something quite frankly we are doing nothing this year.

The problem Brooks has now is he is under the microscope. Every mistake he makes will go into the confirmation bias ledger against him. Unless he plays absolutely brilliantly, I mean SOO quality brilliantly he is on a hiding to nothing. The best thing Brooks could do for himself and the club is leave and have a change of scenery. No doubt he would go well elsewhere.

Unfortunately he has never performed well when it was needed the most. He cracks under the pressure.

This will be no different, anybody suggesting he will rise to this challenge is nothing but a fan boy and most definitely is not a realist.

The Wests Tigers keep telling us garbage performances aren’t representative of who the club is or what it stands for.
After the insipid and soulless opening 40 minutes at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday afternoon, it’s difficult to comprehend what that actually means.

It sounds like empty corporate drivel. Little more than public relations spin.

The club needs to cut its losses on local junior Luke Brooks and make the recruitment of South Sydney halfback Adam Reynolds an immediate priority.

It’s not the little no.7’s fault it hasn’t worked out at the Wests Tigers but it’s got to the stage where both player and club look in need of a change.

Brooks has been the Tigers great playmaking hope for the past seven full seasons but after 153 NRL games without a finals appearance it’s time to move on.

It’s a sensitive issue because he’s a local junior who was a Tigers diehard growing up.

The club sat down with him as recently as last month to assure Brooks they wanted him to be the halfback who steers them into the finals.

Alternatively, trying to re-invent his career in North Queensland under his one-time under 20s coach Todd Payten appears the best option.

If ever there was a day the Wests Tigers needed to hold their hands up and show some backbone, it was on Sunday.

Tigers looked 'shellshocked'Tigers looked 'shellshocked'3:48
A sunny afternoon at Leichhardt where they were farewelling the uncompromising, champion Western Suburbs halfback Tommy Raudonikis.

The club even went to the extent of retiring the no.7 jumper as a mark of respect for the Magpies champion.

What they dished up was sadly what we’ve come to expect from an organisation mired in mediocrity.

Wests Tigers club legend Benji Marshall was talking on Triple M on Sunday where he outlined how Leichhardt Oval on a Sunday afternoon was his favourite venue to play.

Gorden Tallis chimed in and recalled how even when the Brisbane Broncos were an NRL flagship they hated playing at Leichhardt and found it hard to win.

It used to be a graveyard. These days the players are getting booed off at halftime.

Is the club devoid of soul? It looked like it on Sunday.

Question is how highly do the club rate madden. Can play 6 or 7.

Also has AD secured his position

AD is our best player. Still has some work to do in defence but I would like to think that would come.

If we did land Reynolds, he and AD would be a dynamite combo. Should compliment each other very well.

Get what ? I think you don’t get it mate IMO. You’re highly emotional and tbh , associating last year with this year , and this unrealistic expectation that brooks has to win us every game . He didn’t get run around for the first try , he didn’t get run over for the third , he didn’t get out jumped for the 4th, nor did he drop the ball when we were on the attack several times .

From my understanding he did 2 things bad this game . He put in a shocking grubber on halfway , in a dismal attempt to shift the momentum , and drop the ball off the kickoff , which was a Feldt special . Did those plays win or lose us the game ? Hardly !

In fact I saw an engaged half all game , saving forward miss tackles , chasing line breaks others missed , kicking pretty well , creating a lot of opportunities . Oh but he didn’t pull out a miraculous win with 5 seconds to go , so it’s pitch fork time ? Seriously man
