The repeated suggestions of this being the "last straw", or that you'd no longer support the Tigers if Brooks was shipped only typify the immaturity attributed to Brooks fandom and perpetuate the idea that not only is Brooks fandom irrational, but it is highly unproductive.

Fact is, if your support is so tied to this one player then you aren't a fan of Wests Tigers, you are just a fan of Luke Brooks.

It's a dumb comment but the anti Brooks bashing comments are worse. Why not accept it's a difference of opinion without all the palava comments as well.

If for arguments sake we consider Scott Prince a 10. What score do you apply to Luke Brooks.

I don't know. Good question. Maybe a 7. He ain't as good as Prince at his best. Then again we got Prince at his peak.

I wouldn’t move on Brooks. He’s 26 he’s entering his prime albeit not going to be a rep level player he’s an above average halfback in the league.

The going rate is 700k and he’s better than a Shaun Johnson, Townsend, Averillo, Fogarty, Sam Williams, Brodie Croft, Clifford, Dearden, Trindall. There’s 9 halves he’s better than and Pearce is getting on and injured all the time.

It has no logic based on what’s available in the market.

Despite all the dumb comments the other way keeping Brooks to me is the logical decision.

Only way you do it is for an abnormal return and salary cap exercise with a target in mind.

I think Scott Prince is overrated a bit now. He was definitely the best half we've ever had, I do recall many calls to drop him, particularly calling out that he's a 6 and not a 7, and his failure to perform without Benji in the team.

However he was a leader which IMO is his big advantage over Brooks.

I think both had their knockers. Biggest difference for me is Prince played his best when it mattered.

That’s my opinion… obviously it won’t be yours.
Live with it…. it’s not the end of the world.

The different opinions are fine. It's when you and that other guy start making out that everyone else is a fan boy or not using facts or something equally stupid.

I'm glad Hastings is coming and I reckon Brooks has been our best player. We need to perform better. If Hastings is playing better than Brooks and Brooks gets dropped and we win more games I reckon that is awesome.

It's an opinion and your opinion is no better than any one else's. When you state stuff like you state though you come across as completely illogical. So what you accuse others of you are doing but in a much more extreme fashion.

Maybe you haven’t read all the rubbish and personal shots at me (and some others who aren’t in Brooks corner) by certain posters.
I certainly wasn’t the person accusing anyone of not using facts.
I’ve also never said my opinion is better than anyone else’s for that matter.
And what’s the problem with calling someone a fan boy if they obviously are and don’t mind admitting it?
Would you prefer we curl up and die for being afraid to go against the pro Brooks brigade or use the forum for what it was intended for… a platform for different opinions?

I like the different opinions. It's the emotive comments that are completely illogical that don't make sense to me.

I really could not give a s...t about individual players, it's about each players performance, that makes a team. What does worry me , is the stupid bagging of any player for no logical reason,. We are all entitled to our opinion, but it must be based on common sense. Comments on here about Brooks lack any logic, and just a bad mob mentality.

Yeah about a 6.5 to 7 based on his complete career

can we offer Hastings to another club - Canberra perhaps

That's a strange thing to contemplate? Why would want to do that?

keep Brooks and Douhie and try and sell Hastings for someone maybe a Lomax or something
wouldn't happen I know but do we really need Hastings probably not in the halves so he becomes a utility when we already have potentially Liddle/Simpkin

But we have he cash to basically buy anyone we want?

I see the Mbye as a utility, a better proposition than a second hooker, because he has better cover of the backs as well?

we could grab lomax and then still have the cash for a Brandon Smith or something and haven't lost anything we have Maden in reserved if a half is needed

Doesn't quite work that way. We're no chance of getting Cheese either.

That's a shame - he's the sort of guy that would completely change the club.

What about burger bun , tomato ,mayo or lettuce ...beef pattie

I don't think Brooks is shy in big moments, he has nailed a few clutch plays over the years, has kicked a number of game winning field goals, scored the match winning try against Melbourne, the issue is the WTs have not been in many meaningful matches for 10 years...

I would be mortgaging the ranch on 3 Storm Players, offer Finucane, Brandon Smith and Schonig/Moeroa whatever it takes to get them here. Get rid of anyone who doesn’t like hard work (there’s a few) , and plug and play the Storm culture into our forwards. We already have the coach for it.
