Doueihi is a good player, one of our better players. I am sorry he appears to have another knee injury, I always believed his future is in 13 and is the mobile, ball playing lock we have been after. He needs to polish up on his defence and fitness for the role.

Joe is a better option at 13 at this time. He is better defensively and has more experience.

Jock Madden is not the answer. Hastings is.

I don't think the club is looking at Hastings as the half.

I don't want to be death riding a bloke before he gets here - But lets get real, He hasn't worked out at 3 clubs in Australia and isn't even among the best halves in the UK (Yes.... I know he won the man of Steel - Yadda, Yadda , Yadda) So did Rangi Chase and Ben Barba - Todd Carney also won a Dally M on one year he didn't get close to repeating.

If he works, I'll eat my hat... He's not even close to the level of player we need. Having seen him play in the UK - I would suggest he's at about Kyle Flanagans Level, We can almost get him for free....

Hope you are wrong....think you are spot on. Major J Reynolds vibes.

My forecast is there will be many posts here in 9-12months talking about his energy, his effort, the way he talks it up and what a great bloke he is. We will also be probably 12th.

What a great bloke he is?? You can't be serious....
He's been on the radar for 10 years - And no one has ever said that about him!!

You've not kept up with what he's doing over there? The fans and his team mates absolutely love him. Does a lot of good work off the field, sheens gave him a big wrap too.

Dunno how he'll go on the field for us but he seems like he's not the young idiot he used to be

The fans don't love him, Certainly not all of them - I saw it myself...
Many of them mock him for his online / media persona - And how he's selling himself to get back to NRL.
Totally different to how he really is, It's a running joke over there.

Disagree completely with that statement about the fans, mate of mine lives in Swinley (bees penis from Wigan) and is a die hard Wigan fan. Going off his account of how the fans see him, he'll be greatly missed. Most seem to love him and he in turn has a lot of time for the fans and engages them whenever possible.

I've personally followed him for a while on Insta and fail to see where you'd get the 'Selling himself to get back to NRL'. There's literally nothing on his Insta suggesting this. His entire feed is posts of him playing for Wigan with the odd personal post of his days off.

I spoke to plenty of Salford fans a the home and away games I went to over there.... I was at the games, At the Grounds... I'll take that over what's on Insta.

Hasn't been at Salford for a couple of seasons though so I can't comment on his time there nor how he was received by the fans, only that he must have been playing pretty decent footy to be awarded Man of Steel while there and played in a grand final.

Joe unfortunately isn’t far off Doueihi in the defence department…

That's a bit of a slap in the face to Danny Brough. He played more than 20 tests for Scotland.

There were a few other pretty good players.
If you go back just before his cutoff the winners were , in order, James Graham, Brett Hodgson and Pat Richards.

Who cares, it’s all semantics. It’s a backwards glorified Qld cup competition. He’s unproven at NRL level. It might not be a case of him or Brooks anyway if Doueihi’s injury doesn’t come along.

Doueihi is a good player, one of our better players. I am sorry he appears to have another knee injury, I always believed his future is in 13 and is the mobile, ball playing lock we have been after. He needs to polish up on his defence and fitness for the role.

im not doubting he is a good player i just dont see him being our long term 6, i wouldnt mind him at 13 but i feel he would overcall alot of the halves decisions. Get him early ball in the centres.
unfortunately there isnt many dominant halves out there willing to come to WT to let brooks go to 6 and use his running game

Channel Nine’s Danny Weidler appeared on 2GB radio earlier today and reported that the Tigers halfback has been shopped around by his manager.

“I know as of this week people representing him [Brooks] are offering him to other Sydney clubs,” said Weidler.

“That’s not a good sign for Luke Brooks, I don’t know if this is behind the Tigers’ back or not, but clubs have been offered Luke Brooks for next year and beyond, even though he’s on contract.”

Brooks is on a reported $850,000 a season until the end of 2023, so if the 26-year-old is to leave the Wests Tigers at the end of this season, the club would have to have knowledge of this situation that is believed to be occurring.

I asked his earlier, can a manager put feelers out for a contracted player? I wouldn't have thought they could, unless he club has said he is free to look else where?

And no one has made that claim yet, so atm, you would have to seriously doubt the authenticity of this?
