Brooks is a polarising player in the eyes of fans, why?
Is it because he appears to lack some mongrel? Or will to win?
Is it because he lacks the skill required, speed? Service? Tackling? Kicking?
Is it due to inibilty to read a game and steer the side, regain momentum?
Is it because of his influence on younger players?
If there was a better 7, one which would suit the team’s playing style better, then I would say cut him loose, but there isn’t and we don’t have a team that a better 7 would see as an acceptable challenge. IDK? Maybe Hastings is that guy?
I guess what I’m saying, is the whole team, the entire club needs improvement. So why the focus to sack one of the better players or the coach? To me that sounds a lot like emotive talk after 10 years of not sighting the playoffs with binoculars.

It definitely needs to be discussed a fair bit more. Im not sure if he is or isnt the halfback to take us forward. Maybe we could consider him at 6 or 9?

Yes.

Brooks' problem has never been a lack of effort. It's squarely a lack of talent. Even Stevie Wonder can see he's not up to first grade.

Haha, ok list the players who can do all those things better than Brooks ?

Did anyone see the Sterlo show few years ago when sterlo interviewed Moses and Brooks? It’s a brief glimpse at their personalities where Moses is cocky and confident taking jibes at brooksey and brooks is there defending himself about the other famous Luke Brooks on the gram

I don't mind brooksy - but the issue is he's not a natural 7 that can control the game.

He's much better suited to 6 or 14.

If the rumour of brooksy being off madge then move him on. But if brooksy buys in, then I'd play him at 6 or 14 and take the pressure off and let him just have fun and play what's in front of him.

He needs a controlling 7 - Benji said as much

Do you think we will get to 500 pages before he leaves ?

We've had 100 pages in the last 2 months, so it looks like 500 pages would be achievable before the end of this year.

Has had many, many chances to prove his worth but regrettably has never shown the talent required in the 1/2 position. Fringe first grader at best - willing, but ability is very limited.
Lack of suitable replacement only reason he has been in the team and will be, unless things change.
For the money he is on, I'd expect at least 50% more than he delivers.

Brooks has Talent. He has a Dallym Medal for crying out loud.

Brooks has heaps of Effort. As other commentators have said, he is an Introvert playing halfback.

Thats the problem. He does not want or can control the team. But in the lower grades he had NR7. He stayed with NR7. He is NOT a nr7.

For effort and Talent, he had outdone everyone in our backline Bar Daine Laurie.

Next year we Fire someone:
If Hastings works at 7, Brooks either performs at 5/8 or leaves the team.

If Brooks remains at 7, we fire McGuire!
