Luke Lewis

Didn't Sheens say that our yearly recruitment centred around buying an international player every year.

ie, Ellis, Tuquiri, Blair.

Luke Lewis has to be the next international in line.

Sheens has failed us this year, here is his chance for redemption, getting Lewis just might do it,as the current australian coach he has attracted no aussie reps, only 1 pom and 1 kiwi,so lets get the trifecta please Tim.

On the 9th of July 2012, Lewis was granted a release from the remaining two years of his contract at the Penrith Panthers. On July 10th, it was announced that Lewis would join the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in 2013 on a four year deal worth an estimated $1.8 million.

Wikipedia.. :S

And to think only yesterday his manager said he would begin canvassing other clubs this week. If it only takes him a day to get his client a 4 yr 1.8 million dollar contract he must be one hell of an agent

Woah if Wikipedia says so it must be a done deal then. Wikipedia is a credible and reliable source after all :unamused:

Yeah I agree…..Blair hasn't preformed as an international should.

Lewis next and then Israel Folau the year after please.

Sportsbet a running a market on where he goes.

Ill take Luke Lewis as a tiger as my christmas present.

What a joke, the slimeballs will bet on anything. You'd just love for someone close to him to put a massive plunge on the right club. And you can bet if that happened they'd be crying poor mouth

wow they're running a bet as to what team lewis goes to???? lewis and his agent can make a fortune that way 😕

Just said on the radio here on the Gold Coast he has signed with us for next year. Don't know where they got their info from as I can't see anything online yet??

What exactly was said?

I just noticed the part about him signing with the Sharks has been taken off his wiki page

I'm assuming by 'us' he would have meant the Tigers not the Titans

That he had signed for the 2013 season. That was about all that was said in the 3:00 news. Couldn't wait to get home to read more.. and now there is nothing.

Forget about the Dragons getting Lewis, Peter Doust on 2SM now openly said that they are not purchasing any players and are heavily relying on their younger players and recruitment policy. And spacificly stated "especially" signing players in the top level".

Come on Wests Tigers, lets lock this one in!

Droooool..

Lewis wouldn't leave the panthers and go to a struggling club. He also seems to want to stay in Sydney as he has just built a house. This rules out parra and saints IMO. Can't imagine the dogs, eagles, souths or roosters having the coin. I really think its between us and the sharks

1- Lewis and rowdy allegedly got along very well on 4nations tour.
2- when Sonia farah passed away Lewis said farah was one of his best mates
3- I remember Lewis being quoted as saying he really enjoyed being coached by sheens
4- Lewis was a huge supporter of georgallis staying at penrith…

I know none of this is tangible or has much substance but it's a few reasons I have gotten my hopes up and hopefully reasons he might come, I would sure love to have him

He is also building a house with his family at Orchard Hills near Penrith. Would certainly make the daily drive to Cronulla or Wollongong very difficult. It's only about 25-30 mins to Concord. Again, we don't know how much this is factoring in to his decision, but it's still something.
