Luke Lewis

If Lewis signs with Parramatta I lose all respect for him. He can't be that stupid. It's a team going nowhere, and I know Penrith fans will be furious if he goes to the only team worse than them.

Heignington would have to be released for this to happen. Word I've got is he will be shopped to esl like Liam was regardless of what happens with Lewis. No Nrl club is interested in heigno atm

Well you say it's a dream but really it is not that far off being a reality. Certainly a lot more realistic than some other "dream teams" that have been posted on this forum.

Nice looking line-up though!

I think members of this forum would drive him if it made a difference!

I live in Parra I'll go pick him up and drive him my olds live in Abbotsford so killing 2 birds with 1 stone

Never in my life did I think Lewis would be lining up for another NRL club….and to see WTs as one of the front runners to sign him?

Even if its just rumours and hearsay, I'm still excited!

PLEASE let it happen!

Luke Lewis used to play on the wing….centre is where I'd play him.

Gareth Ellis believes Luke Lewis would be the perfect replacement for him when he leaves the Wests Tigers at the end of this year.

The English back-rower will return home to play for Super League club Hull following four excellent campaigns in the NRL, which has seen him voted the Tigers' player of the season for the last three years.

And the 31-year-old is a huge admirer of NSW and Australia star Lewis, who will depart Penrith at the conclusion of the 2012 season, having been granted an early release from the final two years of his contract to seek a new challenge.

"He would be a great acquisition for the club, regardless of who is coming and going," Ellis told AAP on Tuesday.

"He is an absolutely brilliant player and by all accounts a great bloke off the field as well. He's the full package.

"He will have a big decision to make on where he goes but I would imagine every NRL club will be out to get him."

Tigers centre Chris Lawrence played with Lewis in last year's Four Nations tour of the UK for the Kangaroos, and said the 28-year-old would fit perfectly into the Tigers team.

"If the Tigers were lucky enough to get him we would all be delighted to have him," Lawrence said.

"He would definitely be a good fit for our side and a great player to replace Gareth."

Why play one of the games best backrowers in the centres? We already have little pace in the backs…

It's as stupid as people saying move Marshall to fullback. Why move one of the best players in the world in their respective position to another one?! If we get him, I'd have him in the backrow for sure and I'm sure Sheens would too

Been a good 5 years since Lewis ran around as a centre…probably a fair amount of body mass put on since then too.
