Luke Lewis

He is probably my favourite player that isn't at wests tigers but i can't see us getting him.
Sharks would be where he is headed.

I would love to see us get a quality 7 but i would let half our back rowers go to get lewis. Keep Blair as we have paid for him now we have to live with him.

does he have family and kids , hed have to move if live penrith and work cronulla he wouldnt be use to travellin and traffic .

Since we re signed Beau Ryan and Timmy Moltzen we still have 15 players off contract so there should be money for us to sign him but we have to wait and see i guess.

it said in the SMH that Parra recon they are throwing everything at him to get him to go there, Lewis is building a house at orchard hills so parra are going to use that as well.
If he wants a chance at a premiership then he has only 1 choice join the Tigers.

We haven't re-signed Ryan yet :brick:

Well he said he thats what beau said

"I went and saw him on Saturday and he was in good spirits with his family so I'm confident he can return stronger and have a big year for us next year."

It's only another 10mins down the road to Concord!

Although Parra and the Dragons need him more, I hope we get him

The Footy Show? Wow, if its on the Footy Show it must be true. Look i'm not doubting Beau with what he said at all, I just want to see something offical from the club thats all. A player like him wouldn't be re-signed without an announcement from the club. All we've seen is Beau mentioning it on a second rate tv show that 20 people watch. As Happy said a while ago, we all know how enthusiastic Ryan is so for all we know he could have just been getting ahead of himself.

Can you post the link where there is an official announcement from the club?

Well as soon as he said he re signed he said he wasent going anywere. And on the wests tigers twitter page on the same night they said did u hear the footy we just re signed Beau Ryan. Plus it doesent show anywere his of contract this year anymore but it does say 2015 so what more do u need to know tbh lol.

An official announcement from the club, something which has happened yet. By the sounds of it, the WT twitter page doesn't sound very reliable if their getting info about their own club off the Footy Show

Go to work Robbie,we need him.

I am a big fan of Luke Lewis and one of only two players IMO who could replace Ellis the other one being Gallen.

I would get rid of heighington, Moors, Cashmere, Moltzen, Lote, Utai to sign Lewis.

My pack for 2013

Lewis
Fulton
Peddybourne
Woods
Farah
Galloway

Bench: BMM, Bell, Blair, Sironen (to cover backs and forwards)

On the 9th of July 2012, Lewis was granted a release from the remaining two years of his contract at the Penrith Panthers. On July 10th, it was announced that Lewis would join the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in 2013 on a four year deal worth an estimated $1.8 million.

Gareth Ellis believes Luke Lewis would be the perfect replacement for him when he leaves the Wests Tigers at the end of this year.

The English back-rower will return home to play for Super League club Hull following four excellent campaigns in the NRL, which has seen him voted the Tigers' player of the season for the last three years.

And the 31-year-old is a huge admirer of NSW and Australia star Lewis, who will depart Penrith at the conclusion of the 2012 season, having been granted an early release from the final two years of his contract to seek a new challenge.

"He would be a great acquisition for the club, regardless of who is coming and going," Ellis told AAP on Tuesday.

"He is an absolutely brilliant player and by all accounts a great bloke off the field as well. He's the full package.

"He will have a big decision to make on where he goes but I would imagine every NRL club will be out to get him."

Tigers centre Chris Lawrence played with Lewis in last year's Four Nations tour of the UK for the Kangaroos, and said the 28-year-old would fit perfectly into the Tigers team.

"If the Tigers were lucky enough to get him we would all be delighted to have him," Lawrence said.

"He would definitely be a good fit for our side and a great player to replace Gareth."

And to think only yesterday his manager said he would begin canvassing other clubs this week. If it only takes him a day to get his client a 4 yr 1.8 million dollar contract he must be one hell of an agent
