Lewis is champion - pretty sure we wouldn't have chased Anasta and the other backrowers if we knew we had a shot at getting him.

But Anasta and Lewis would surely be a Sheens wet dream, i.e. a couple of true ball-playing forwards.

Sheensie loves Luke Lewis and we already sounded him out last year for the Heighno/Ryan swap. If he is released I would think we would make a play, depends how much $$$ we have left.

He's worth more then Blair mate… He is in the top handful of forwards in the game and has played every position in a football side

Because answer one question and you have to answer a dozen. Imagine if he chooses to deny the incorrect rumours? You'd just keep asking until he didn't deny it.

Geez you guys are hard markers! In that case you would have to suppose that backrowers aren't worth that kind of coin.
Who is better at the moment (other than Gallen)? T Williams? Watmough? Thaiday? Ellis? Burgess?
I'm not sure but I reckon Lewis is on par with the best 2nd rowers going around. Plus he can play 5/8, centre etc, which is more than any of the other premium 2nd rowers. If we paid $400k for Lote and even more for Blair then $425 is definitely not "overs" for Lewis.
Anyway, better us pay him than Parra or Dogs.

I think if he does leave Penrith, we have a better shot than either of those two. Eels are going no where, they are in shambles. You would think he would want to stay as far away from them as possible. And unless the Dogs are letting a few go next year, they won't have room for him (especially after signing T-Rex).

He seems like a guy who is not enjoying his football and is sick and tired of poor on-field performance and poor club management. Going to Parramatta would be worse than being at the Panthers.

If he wants to start enjoying his footy again, I'd say he'd go to the Dogs or Tigers. Either going to a club back on the rise with the game's best CEO and a successful coaching staff, or coming to the Tigers where he's close with some of the players and the coaching staff.
