If he goes to Parra it will prove that he's only chasing the money, no amount of sugarcoating can make it look otherwise. If he can command what he was earning at Penrith or close to it with a contender,then you would hope he stays away from that cesspool

Yea I don't think lote will get much if he resigns maybe 100-150k for maybe a 1 year deal, cause they say ur only good as ur last year and he has had a lot of injuries, as much as I like the guy he just really hasn't performed as well as he could the last 2 years

Gareths contract is worth 350000 I'm pretty sure, anasta we bought for 200,000, so that's still an extra 150,000 left over we can spend towards Lewis… If lote signs on for 150,000, that's an extra 250,000 left from him, so already just with those two players that's 400,000 excess, taking into acc there are a few other players to release as well, I don't know y u would say its anastas fault...
Should he have said no to us incase Lewis became available 4 months later!
We purchased peddybourne and Thompson, but with releasing a couple of other blokes combined with if Lewis wants to come to a potentially winning club then we r an attractive place to come!

Not all of them, but hey there sure a number who are underperforming and would gladly be let go if they could get a gig elsewhere!

The problem is we need some props still for next year and signing Luke Lewis wont fix that. We have Woods, Galloway and Groat as our signed props for next year. BMM and Pettybourne could pla some bench prop but wouldn't want to rely on them as frontrowers- Especially if we had Woods or Galloway injured. Cashmere, Bell and Moors are all of contract - Where are we going to find props or money for props if Lewis signs

Farah said in this week MX newspaper that Lewis told him during the SOO that he wanted out of penrith. Farah said he was trying to purswade him to come to the tigers. Farah said that he liked the way the tigers play.

I really think Lewis knows where he is going & he just isnt letting on yet, one thing is for certain i cant see him going to Parra if he wants to win a comp before he retires.

Definitely won't be parra as it too close to penrif. Lewis wants a change. So it won't be us. Where he will get change is Cronulla. If that's what he really wants.

Obviously he doesn't WANT to go to Parra. He left Penrith to play semis and win a comp.

HOWEVER….............if they really do offer $700 000 a season, then it's game over.

2.1 million over three years from Parra............or 960 000 from us over three years (according to Smoking Gun)

That's over a milllion difference.

No player at his age will walk away from that money. Let's hope it's not the real figure as I am sure he wants to play in Tigertown. Parra may well be desperate enough to pay massive overs though.

Parra are an absolute mess. The biggest basket case of a club we've seen for years. Paying massive overs may be the only way out of it for them. Hopefully they don't offer it as I am sure he's coming to Tigertown barring something abberational like a $2.1 million offer. That's crazy stuff and would force his hand.

I think Parra could throw the kitchen sink and still miss out on Luke. Their issue is obvious. It's been painfully played out in the media every week all season long. They are next to no chance of signing Luke. Unless Luke finds the money all to convincing. You got to think it's likely between us and the Sharks. Both teams are competitive. We may well have more room available to fit him in. Both the Tigers and Sharks have compelling cases for Lewis joining them.
