There were whispers Tigers halves Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses were both having dramatic re-thinks about their futures during the ‘cooling off’ periods of their new deals.

The pair have 10 days before they are locked into their contracts - Moses at the Eels and Brooks to stay at the Tigers - and word from Tigertown is that both were getting the wobbles.

I’m hearing that after the Tigers’ shock win over the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday night, an emotional Moses told teammates he was now thinking of staying.

But those feelings quickly subsided and he appears certain to honour his deal at Parra, with a move soon after Easter on the cards.

Brooks is said to be having second thoughts over his decision to extend at the Tigers - and looking at a move to Melbourne.

Cooper Cronk made his shock decision to quit the Storm only days after Brooks put pen to paper to stay at Concord - and that changed the landscape dramatically.

Brooks, a similar type of halfback to Cronk - would be a great fit at the Storm.

No formal talks have begun - but I’m hearing a third party may have gauged Brooks’ interest about a move to bleak city.

There’s never a dull moment in Tigers territory - and these latest developments will keep new coach Ivan Cleary on his toes this week.

Bloody hell leys hope he goes.. Start fresh with a new pair .

Given how much Cronk is currently earning at the Storm I'm sure that they would want a better quality half than Brooks, particularly if Jacks remains at five-eight.

Haha true.. At least one of the halves has to be able to tackle. Cant have 2 turnstiles..

widdop/townsend wouldnt be a bad combo. wouldnt pay much for townsend though.

At this stage, I don't care who stays/goes, just want these rumours to end so we can get on playing footy.

Brodie Croft is probably further away from NRL than originally thought… He has the 1-2 good phases of play in Q Cup most weeks, but Billy Walters is way ahead of him realistically.

Brodie looks like a good player in the making, but Luke would be a handier replacement at this stage.

The storm must have a bunch of cap space with Cronk and Harris leaving, and the possibility of Slater retiring as well.
I'd fancy them to be a big player for one of gun free agent halves (nb. that doesn't include our two).

Anyone else find it funny that arguably the bottom two of the Big 4 (Broses) were the ones likely to go/be cut, were the two fastest to decide their futures, and are reportedly re-thinking those decisions.

Wherease the top 2 of the Big 4 (Woodesco) were originally the most likely to stay, now being reported as leaning towards leaving.

Or maybe just don't believe anything you hear until it's official.

Yes… Bellamy always wanted him to develop into a 9 but they have given up on that now. Billy is a good kid who never dies wondering. Not sure if he will make it to NRL as he is more a pure footballer than professional athlete.

I'm just glad he is back at 6 injury free for the Mighty Tigers!
