Blaming the coach for a decade of failure is really clutching at straws. Teams have to be built from the ground up you can’t recruit your way out of dramas. Big name players in Sydney will always sign with winning teams Roosters/Rabbits/Eels. You can get them if you pay overs and screw the cap again.

Titans, Knights are current examples. You also can’t train and select better teams to win if the talent is not at the level of the opposition in particular against the top 5 sides.

We will get flogged virtually every game against Panthers, Storm, Eels, Roosters, Rabbits. Mark it down remember it and don’t blame the coach as it is obvious. We will compete against most other sides.

The club is starting to invest properly in its football department finally and the answer is replace the coach. It’s fantasy stuff it won’t change anything but likely make things worse.

The new narrative, don't blame the coach for the defeats but give him the kudos for the wins. If you want to establish a culture of mediocrity let's go with this initiative.

It sure has, I don't want Sheens coaching, but I am not a big fan of Madge's effort so far either.
Sheens might help attract some talent to the club though, something we struggle with

The coach should get judged on his coaching. The problem is that it's hard to judge because we don't know everything going on at the club.

I definitely don't get the impression that Madge is the key factor that needs changing for success to come. Look at our team and Parra or Melbourne on paper. Then add to that the officiating which seems to favor the top teams. We aren't traveling too poorly under the circumstances.

He is being judged. His coaching has been not good. We need a change.

Those 'player disharmonies'. coupled with Old Man Double Chin's betrayal of us; the Taylorball years, and Potter's brief tenure have portrayed us as a basketcase and a 'don't go there club'.
It is extremely hard to turn those perceptions around, especially when management has had to clean out a number of non-performers and the old boys club.
That is why I believe the club has trouble attracting players to our roster. Having said that, the younger guys we have recruited seem to be free of that belief.
The club has at last recruited people who seem to know what they are doing and hopefully we are now free of backstabbing and other Machavellian traits that dominated not only both sides of the club pre-joint venture but also for many years after the joint venture was established. Time will tell if that is correct.

My mail is that Harley Smith-Shields approached the Tigers after Seb Kris met with Madge. Kris was interested in WT because of the indigenous programme and Madge and Hartigan gave him plenty of time, although no offer was made. Obviously, Kris has pumped us up to HSS. WT are doing good things.

Yep team selections and bench rotation are concerning think someone like Flanagan would do a better job in this regard or madge needs to accept he needs help with this

Smith shields played against us in nsw cup in round 1. 222m from 19 runs, 2 line breaks, 12 tackle breaks and a try - smashed us

Although I feel like Kris will stay at raiders.
Hasn't been much talk about him regarding interest from any clubs.

Raiders have probably advised he's unavailable and a deal is in the works.


I'd like em both though.
