**Tigers boss Pascoe says ‘we’re good’ – but someone forgot to tell Maguire**

Under-fire Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe has denied there is an ever-widening rift between the joint venture boss and coach Michael Maguire.

Pascoe has rightfully worn the brunt of criticism for the Wests Tigers abysmal start to the season after agreeing to give Maguire a contract extension until the end of 2023 in December of last year.

Maguire has also started the year under siege as the Tigers have flopped to a 1-6 start.

Plenty of people in the game are saying Maguire is completely off Pascoe and his corporate management book but the Tigers CEO has denied it.

“We’re good. We’re completely committed to where the club is going and how we’re going to get there,” Pascoe said.

That’s not what we’ve heard. We’ve heard premiership-winner Maguire can’t cop Pascoe and his highly complicated hairdo.

I don't know why Pascoe receives so much criticism. He has WTs performing well off field.

That comment is at odds with Pascoe holding the professional line that everything is fine.

Can’t agree that Pascoe looks professional all the time.
Think this stuff has been mentioned plenty of times.
Between the two Maguire looks the more serious about his role.

Pascoe has the results. I am really not sure why so much is made of looks and hair. Being less serious is perhaps a good circuit breaker for being around Maguire?

Thought it was due to CCTW? i think saying he sticks in his nose in places he shouldn't which is getting Madge and Hartigan offside

I just don't know what these guys were thinking when they put this backline together, surely with all of their football experience, their would of been some doubt about the backlines defensive capabilities...

1. Laurie - Tackling isn't really his strong point
2. Nofa - One of or the worst defensive players in the comp
3. Roberts - Known to struggle in defence and has
4. J Leilua - Arm grabber,struggles to read the attack
5. Kepaoa - Pretty much a rookie, rushes up at times, still learning

If Pascoe is "wearing brunt of criticism" for an abysmal season and extending Maguire, how is it that Madge apparently then cannot "cop" Pascoe? So the head coach dislikes the bloke who extended his contract, despite not achieving the finals results we demand? Sounds bogus to me. If I was Madge I'd be happy as Larry the public position Pascoe has taken.

Also, the coach doesn't need to like the CEO or anyone, just needs to do his coaching professionally.

My take is that Hooper had a good talk to Madge about the club, players and management but the only ‘negative’ to come out of it was Madge saying, off-handedly, that he doesn’t like Pascoe’s hairdo.

Hence the bulk of his article seemingly showing Madge not liking Pascoe. His last line was the only thing close to being honest.

Honestly the few interviews this week from Madge seems like something is completely off.. his body language, his facial expressions and everything else..

I’ve changed my mind on Madge after last weeks game I was calling for his head but after thinking about it all week and watching how the boys all stood if for him in the week and how they turned up for him today
I think he is the rite man to bring us out of this mess he acts just as you would want your team to act always puts in 100% there is zero nonsense about him. This is a very young side there is going to be times where we struggle we just have to hope the boys keep putting in as much effort as Madge does
