I actually liked what Madge said at his presser.

A few thoughts:

1. The defensive effort wasn't a change of defence style to stop and slide that channel 9 thought. It was the players not listening to coach and not putting in effort.

2. Madge spoke a lot more direct than normal and called out players not giving a go. Hopefully this signals a change where he starts to cut the dead wood.

3. We have a younger group who are playing for madge and giving it a go. Hopefully they become the core neculus of the team from now on.

4. Plan is to develop from within. Gave example of east's and said it takes around 6 years to see the youth come through.

5. Said we still haven't defined what being a Wests Tigers player means.

6. Said they wasn't room in salary cap to look at market until now. I'd say that while madge has technically resigned most of the squad, our salary cap didn't allow him to look too broadly.

Key point is Madge better follow through and puck a team next game of players who want to give their all.

He basically said that the media blame the players for these huge blowout scores, but the main problem is with the management of some clubs. He said it is much deeper than blaming the players and suggested a toxic workplace will lead to underperforming in any work environment.. Worth watching if you haven't seen it.

Yeah, very noticeable. He gave a rev up, he even demonstrated the old 'find your shoulder' technique...and not a single one of them bounced up. They all looked half asleep.

His style just does not work anymore. They need a coach who can improve their techniques and offer real game plans.

The Rabbits are a top 4 team, there backline is far superior than ours, surely no one thought these last 4 games were winnable?
We have half a team full of kids and some who are just cruising, I mean our little FB was our best player for us today? Getting rid of the bludgers won't be easy atm.

So this is our third rubbish season under him,how long would The Roosters,Storm,Bronco, heck even Bulldogs wait before showing him the door.
I don’t want to sounds completely pessimistic but I don’t remember any tough gritty wins under him.No memorable performance.
We have been blown off the park way too times under him.
His foward rotation and defensive structure simply does not work with our boys.
