I have to ask, at what point does Pascoe feel any heat? He was the one who signed off on the massive contracts of Mbye, Reynolds and Packer, seems to be involved in all the attempts to sign any big name players ( and is therefore part of that failure) in his 6 years here has seen the club fined 750k ( 375k suspended) a salary cap penalty of 320k for both the 2019 and 2020 seasons been suspended for 6 months and finally still hasn't been able to sort out the home ground fiasco.

There is no doubt he has done some good things, COE being his crowning glory, but in a decade of non finals appearances, he has been here for more than half of that and in that time we have had 3 coaches and an almost entire roster turnover with the same results. Theres only 2 constants in that time frame, the board and Pascoe.

Last time i looked the CEO is responsible for the overall performance of an organisation and considering we are an NRL club i would have thought winning football games would be our core business.

There is a third constant- Brooks. We have changed the forwards and backs.

Nah, Brooks has been playing alright most games this year.

I am seriously lost today, Madge isn't getting it done but I don't believe in making change unless there is a very clear plan on what happens after that to make things better. Otherwise you are likely to end up in the same place in 2 years time. There are only 2 coaches that I think can walk in with a high probability of solving this problem and they won't be coming to the Wests Tigers there are serious problems with every other option. I really don't know what we should do to get out of this and I am arrogant enough to believe that if I can't see the solution than no one else can. The most hopeless I have ever felt about the team.

U reckon Flanagan would come here or you do don’t rate him?

My problems with Flanagan come down to the issues he has had in the past. I don't think he should have a place in the game and I am not willing to change that opinion just because we need a coach.

Almost fully agree, though he has served his penalties and as @rex2ce wrote, Bellamy was at the helm of a side that was long systemic in it's cheating, yet lauded by many for achievements based on a fraud.

Not sure that Flanagan is the answer, as like the Storm, I never watched their wrestling matches prior to the changes of last year unless playing WT. Still, what good are punishments if when having served them, perpetrators are still encumbered.

If you are a competitor and you want to win wouldn't you get dirty at blokes playing like they don't give a rat's? I think it would be far more concerning if they weren't bickering at least it demonstrates that some dont think it's ok.

I have belief in our playing group. To me it looks as though they're playing without confidence. A breath of fresh air from an old friend of the Club in Tim Sheens will work wonders. Just having the father figure around to advise, have a few chats and make suggestion will be beneficial.

How far away can go-go gadget send Pascoe, if Lee really cares (and regular information is found or scanned for content in forum posts - even for some so-called league ‘journalists’) then he’s got the ball rolling on our long awaited review and is making some more uncomfortable decisions than he may ever have to make...

He made Nof a golden child and that was a terrible decision which may well bite us yet

Madge went from positive talk to I’m at my wits end and done with the playing group and then went on a complain not involving current squad to save his job. In fairness he has given them every chance but doesn’t it lack foresight that it’s come to this.

He’s made some bad signings too isn’t musgrove just another packer?

If i was a player i would be filthy if the highest paid player at my club was doing didly squat. It is not just him but some blokes seem to be going on the field to do as little as they can.I would much rather see any player bust a gut and miss a tackle rather than the half hearted flogs who dont even attempt to make one.

Mate you have got him as the second coming - the pressure is on Sheens - the saviour of all saviours. I'm expecting miraculous turnaround when he arrives.

His style of football was WTs. We've gone away from it. Time we reclaimed our identity as a team that throws the ball around . We've got great potential in the lower grades and if anyone can make the most of it, it is Sheens.

Champion @cochise - can I respectfully refer you to the thread on Mental Health.
Seriously, there is always a solution.
Now, whether that is to to with the club player roster, the constraints of the salary cap, the coaching methodology or whatever, that's when a sensible club review consider all the aspects that contribute etc, so I would have thought that this will happen within our club and not too far away.
Coincidence that Sheens is coming - I don't think so.
The current Wests Tigers management should be on the front foot here and putting a positive spin on the task ahead in changing the core requirements leading to change and success.

You know what, you are right. If I can't see the answer then a review is the way forward.

Take comfort in knowing that someone has to come last in a 16 team comp and the Broncos are next and will be gunning for us

Even scarier that we also have the dogs twice and even though our team should be well clear of them, we may not.

Instead of WT oft last round failure of losing in front of a home crowd and finishing 9th as a result, the literal last match of the regular season at Campbelltown could turn out to be the wooden spoon decider.

Paws, mate, Sheens’ best asset was his playbook and I hate to break it to you but scrums are being phased out. Also it doesn’t matter how many you can score - even at 1 x minute - when all the opposition team has to do is retrieve the ball and stroll 90m without fail... every game since rules were changed it seems...

So you’d best hope he kept that sleeve very tight because we’ll need every ounce of his magic if only in an advisory role.

He will **not** be head coach again

Sheens could not get a coaching position in the NRL after we sacked him so he went to the UK as a coach.Moving forward he cant get a job there as one either (poor results).
He needs to be kept as far away from coaching as possible,it is a good idea to use him in the background with developing pathways but not in a coaching capacity

Yeah I don’t see Madge as a quitter.
Maybe sheens will come in and say that he looks ‘tired’ and in need of a refresh....

What about Bellamy, involved in systematic cap cheating, should he be in the game ?

That is a good point but I don't think it is hypercritical or double standards to have distinction between salary cap cheating and being involved in a system that injects banned substances into players without their knowledge or consent.

Harsh reality of it all is that Madge can’t attract players to this club and the players aren’t playing for him….. we all say give him time and let him build but how can he build when players don’t want to play for him…. Lomax, Brimson, Latrell, JAC, Pangai Jr, Crichton, Issac Lui, Jai Arrow, Capewell (twice), Finucane etc I’m sure there’s more who have rejected us within the last year or two

Warriors a prime example, click of a finger within 1 year they’ve signed Reece Walsh, Fonua Blake, DWZ, Lodge, Shaun Johnson

Gus Gould effect ^

We need a coach who’ll attract players to this club and can get the boys to lift and turn up…. Wayne Bennet? Even if we wanna take the younger approach and get a Cameron Ciraldo would be a good move imo

We have the young talent now we need the marquee players, we haven’t had a marquee player since Tedesco…. tells you enough

And take pride in your performances and to give it your all ..

Bennett is a win now coach and isn't interested in what happens to the club after he leaves. I actually think he likes it when a club implodes when he leaves. I don't think he is a good fit for us
