Players have a right to react to those comments

How do you suggest they respond..?

Chammas whiney voice..

Players Starting To Turn On Michael Maguire After Post-Match
FOX LEAGUE

Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire is facing an uphill battle to keep his job at the club.

Brent Read and Michael Chammas revealed on the Triple M Saturday Scrum, players at the club are unhappy with comments Maguire made post-match following the side's loss to the Rabbitohs.

Sack the bloody players for once, not the coach. Maybe then the club will head in the right direction

If any player is dissatisfied with the coach for any reason then he should raise it privately with Madge. OR put up their hand and ask for a release from their contract because the majority of on field performances this year are totally unacceptable. If anyone took offence with MM's post match comments after the diabolical farce V Rabbitohs then they should give it up now. The Club and players need to listen to constructive criticisms and act on it. Maguire's brief is to pull the WT out of their mediocrity and deliver longer term success. The Club needs to stick solid with the Coach and remove the rebellious under performers as soon as possible.

Brent Read hit the nail on the head with his comments. Numerous pundits that have always stuck their head out for Maguire and backed him are even starting to turn as it’s true that we’ve gone backwards since Maguire has arrived, on the field and in recruitment.

Interesting that Todd Payten literally delivered a very Madge like post press conference by calling out his players and mentioning that they are not sustaining the pressure for long enough periods of time. We are here criticizing Madge for not showing good man management skills, yet have suggested Payten as a person that we would prefer as a coach for some of us.

Madge has his faults and I do raise concern over some but I think can be at least mitigated by bringing in some quality assistants and not just loyal men. Both sides of the spectrum, Those who defend him and those that want him gone are going to nit pick anything to suit their agenda. I think the reality of the matter is, I don't think this roster can go places unless Craig Bellamy is coaching the joint. The self-entitled players who have essentially felt like they run the club need to go, keep weeding the rot out. This club was always going to take a long time to turn around.

Bet you it's Nofa leading the player revolt

Our players have no accountability it's a joke lol. They DID play bad and they chuck a sook about being called out about it

Do Storm players cry if Bellamy sprays them? Or do they fix their games.

We havnt gone backwards we are in the same position be cause we continually point the finger at individuals and think that removing one and replacing him with another will suddenly make a weak playing group better and change the perception of the club that is shared across the NRL.

Like most, I hate the notion of sooky players and would love nothing more than to give them a flogging.

Reality is, we're dealing with a different generation of players. Madge has been let down by his approach and by those he has put around him (I've asked an numerous occasions and am repeatedly told his staff are his appointments).

With that in mind, the results are his and ultimately I think it's time a change is made.

The playing group have regressed - no two ways about it. So while we can all say, get rid of them and replace them with those willing to play for this coach - we know that's easier said than done.

For me, the fact that the team has regressed is reason enough for a change. Structures have not improved and effort is not there. Effort is entwined with belief and the players simply don't appear to believe in what they have to follow (Game plan or Structures).

What's the news man?
The boys gonna throw the game against the broncos and get the coach Sacked?

Let's face it now
MADGE will be gone very soon and it's possible straight after the Brisbane game
It unfortunate that this type of article comes out placing further pressure on everyone from players to all management above
And while this is in the news we probably won't sign anyone of note because who the hell would want to sign for us when we are in the news for all the wrong reasons
If Madge goes then there are a number of other staff and players that should follow
All of our Nrl coaching staff have failed
A number of players have failed
And you can't have players complaining and writing stories on social media
That is a big No No
So where to from here
I'm of to a party at 4 today with some of Ciraldo's friends
Surely he would be looking for a 1st grade gig
I will be sniffing for any information I can
It would be nice to know if he is keen on becoming a 1st grade coach because he won't get that opportunity at Penrith any time soon

Following this club has been so disappointing for all of us
We just want to see a light shining at the end but at the moment I feel it is just pitch black

A massive clean out is now required so get on with it
I know it's going to hurt but it must be done

More so, what are the odds the club targets someone like a ciraldo ? Geyers comments that the players at Penrith love him should echo for us considering we also have a younger team that Madge clearly just doesn’t get anymore

If you listen to that triple m bit, Geyer believes a 1st grade gig would get him out of Penrith. Apart from south’s, no other club look like they’ll change coaches anytime soon so surely we’d have a good run at him

I don't think it's as easy as 'all players are sooks now they should be treated better' because you would never ever see it at any of the top clubs

Would only be us, Souths have their coach for next season

The issue is simple. We have existing players that think they are better than they are. Our recruitment has been average in terms of established players. Madge is gone as it’s easier to blame him saying players don’t want to play for him and he hurts recruitment.

Unfortunately this is what happens in organisations with a losing culture. They always look for the scapegoat to protect their own reputations. Sacking Madge will achieve zero. You will have the same rift in the team from players that love Madge.

I have no info mate. My hunch is with Tim Sheen's being back on board (Whenever that is), the option to go down a younger (Gen Y/Millennial) coach becomes more of a possibility.
