In a alternate universe where the club is well resourced with capable, media savvy staff:

Media: Hagipantelis, can you tell us about what's happening with the review. Is Madge under pressure.

Hagipantelis: We need to let the process take its course. Otherwise, no comment.

Instead, this guy gives interviews on SEN mid review.

That’s nothing. Remember he was talking to the media mid LM negotiations. And to prove he didn’t learn his lesson, he did it AGAIN during the JAC negotiations. Dead set clown.

You are aware that as a sponsor of SEN, Lee has a *regular* spot each week where he usually discussed legal and sport issues?

Ah, beat me to posting it. Always wise to refresh the page!

Im usually 6 or 7 pages behind and quote someone only to find five people have said the same thing

lol...Yup. I think you missed my point. He chooses to put himself in these situations. The club had 8+ articles yesterday on the train wreck he heads up and now just gave ammo for a 9th.

Its real simple, no comment on the internal review. Next question Voss.

Good news everyone, I have obtained the transcript of the senior-level feedback from the club review.

Madge: "Eff boys, effing eff boys, eff! I believe in you boys, be the player you want to play with, eff! Where are the effing men, the ebbs and flows men, eff?"

Brooks: "Yeah nah, like, take control and stuff, yeah, make it your team. You know, like, it's the halfback's job."

Luch: "He heheh yeah nah man, hee bro, hee hee, but nah yeah seriously, Madge is a good guy, he made me an 80 minute player...hee hee oh yeah, well at least 60 minute player, hey?"

Twal: "Aye bro aye, what's up bro, eh? Nah fully leh, we need to try harder, eh? Come up with sumfink new."

Tamou: "Ets tremeendous bro; Mudge uz an eeexcellunt coach, cuz. Sweet az bro."

Pascoe: "Well, quack quack, this organisation demands success, with respect to on-field and off-field, quack quack, and you should see the new pond we are constructing out the back here: state-of-the-art, quack. State-of-the-art community-focus ponding, quack quack, that's one of the pillars of what this organisation stands for. We have tremendous feedback from all stakeholders within the organisation. We aim to be like the Man United of ponds, bigger than any ponds in Penrith.

Well done! That was a cracker! Here I am thinking that you all business and political correctness and you drop that.

All politicians put in groundwork before announcements to try and control the narrative.
It's standard practice.

As much as I hate to say this...

It may be time to change clubs because if we migrate across West I may as well follow another team..

Everyone is ruining it, but big four eyed Lee is honestly just wanting to be in all the news articles.

At the end of 2019 the story broke about Ryan Matterson wanting out of our club.I rang his father who i know and asked him if it was true and he told me it wasnt. Then over the next few weeks Matterson demanded a release and the Tigers came back with promises of upgrades and even considered offering him the captaincy. He didnt want it because he didnt enjoy his time at the club. When he left we all on the forum ripped into him calling him a dog etc etc.Months later i had a drink with his father Paul and asked him why he wasnt honest with me and secondly why his son walked away from the club.He said 100% it wasnt about money as the Tigers offered him more than the Eels.He also said he misled me as he tried to talk Ryan out of it.Ryan just wanted out because of Madge and also because of Pascoe. He said Madge plays favorites with certain players and the others have to cop it.He told many other things but i wont bore you all with them. With Pascoe when players try to tell him with their grievances he wont do anything about them because he always backed the coach. The last thing Paul told me as long as Madge stays as coach no decent players will join the Tigers as his reputation is well known throughout the players in the Nrl.I remember disagreeing with him but over the last weeks i have changed my mind.I have spoken a few times with Paul over the last 2 years and every time he does says "I TOLD YOU SO"

Thanks for your post Smithy - it was gutsy and I see you have copped a bit. To be fair I was really disappointed with Ryan when he left - mainly because of the way he went about it. Being honest, I still am. However, this forum is full of people making comments on innuendo and rumours, which they are all entitled to do. You cannot fault your source at all, being his father. It seems you were pretty straight up with Ryan's dad as well. I have said before I would really like the review to ask players who have rejected us outright, tell us why. It would not surprise me if not wanting to play under Madge is a big part of it. I know you will get outrage from some people, but I too, would like to know the other unstated reasons why he left.

Maybe there can be a radio competition to select our new coach. Match the mystery voices to previous Tigers coaches.

@nrlsurvivor I think if someone is bringing genuine information to the club which could result in a star player leaving that the CEO would want to know what it is.... plus I know Justin from previous meetings ... lets see if they act on it....

And anyway Lee and Justin saying that they have no role in the teams performance because that is up to the FOOTBALL DEPARTMENT -

yeah cool... so who employs the football department? The board!

Lee as he righty states says "I have little football knowledge" - so how can he realistically weigh in on whether the football department is to blame or the coach or Justin?

Justin is the CEO 0 he has to take some responsibility for the teams performance because he makes recommendations to the board which they act on.

TBH - They're all buggered. Hopefully we can land Bennet otherwise it's all on Sheensy.

Yeah.......and they are reviewing the performance of the department they employed to see if it is up to scratch. Isnt that the way its supposed to work?

does anyone have Lee's email adress?

I recently wrote to Pascoe about the news I heard that Parra are preparing to offer Steff a big contract come Nov next year (my friend used to be the chairman of the club) and i told Justin that we should bum up his contract now to avoid the Payne Haas (brisbane issue) and the Matto issue etc.... and all i got back was "thanks noted".

Anyway id like to email Lee if anyone knows his email.

thanks

If Pascoe truly has no influence or remit on the football dept, why is he seemingly often involved in recruitment meetings?

@Tiger5150 Yeah thats how it works... but if the football department hasnt done the right job... then at what point do the people who employed them get made accountable....

I dont know of any organisation where the CEO gets to say "that is not my job, that is someone else's job".

The buck stops with the CEO.

He appoints and recommends who makes up the football department. Yes if the football department stuff up they should go but Justin has been there for 6 years and we have not made the finals since... at some point we need a CEO who is better at making recommendations and decisions around who should staff the Football Department.

Imagine Apple bringing out a Phone that performed at 45% (that's what 9th looks like on the ladder) for 6 years straight. Yeah sure the CEO can say it was the technical department who is led by the Chief Technology Officer - but if the CEO appointed him, and then continued to appoint others, and the problem was never fixed because the Technology department could'nt get it right.... then the CEO would be fired for incompetence in the job if it continued.

For Lee to say that the performance of the team is not up to the CEO is bullocks. He appoints the Football Department. He is the CEO of a FOOTBALL TEAM! He needs some competence in being able to assess the quality of candidates that he recommends.

The same as Madge saying I'm not responsible for defence because i employed a "defense coach" - its his job.

Yeah well if you sack 3 of them and still can't fix the problem - maybe your judgement on defense coaches sucks. Period.

Too many people on here are used to mediocrity and blame shifting based on the corporate spin our back office vomits.

And that is why we are perennial losers. We have people in all positions within the org that get lapped by other teams. Our back office probably is a bottom 4 team to be fair, and that's why we are there on the ladder.

This bloke needs to learn to shut his mouth. He puts himself and the club in a poor light with his continual statements. If anyone should be condemned for not getting players to the club it is him he turns it all into a media circus with his ill advised comments.

Well written and well argued. I agree that Pascoe needs to be reviewed (like anyone) but that is a separate review process. He is appointed by the board and his contract is their responsibility. As CEO the football department IS his responsibility as you say and accordingly he should review them.

It’s all very straightforward business practice and it’s only hatred of the organization that seems to be deflecting.
