Madge

Ben Ikin delivers concerning message to Michael Maguire after telling Kevin Walters claim

"And for those who really don't want to do it this way, we have to make some tough calls on the roster. Here's the issue: if 'Madge' can't find people that line up with him, then the problem isn't the people, the problem is Madge. Then Madge will have to think how he adapts. Otherwise he will be the one they push out the door."

Im still a Madge fan.

Greatness is born from Hard work.
I'm not convinced modern-day kids believe in brutal hard work, they are all geared to the "working smarter" approach.

So if some old bloke tells you to do a thousand laps, they spend most of that time thinking about short-cuts and "hacks" that would achieve the same result in less time.

And that's not to say the kids are wrong either, but professional sport is as much mental as physical and I just don't see the old-school bootcamp mentality staying valid.

It's only taken 10 rounds for Madge, (supposedly a super coach 'with the right players'), to turn the Brisbane Broncos into something approximating the Wests Tigers circa 2019. He would have absolutely flogged those players into abject misery in the offseason, and smashed them in the sheds after every defeat. He's got something about him but he's no supercoach.
Wrong!

I dont buy in to the accolades he got as NSW coach or any Origin coach really. Its an all-stars match with in form players...id say 99% of the win is down to individual performance.

I think he took he reigns at Souths at the right time and he had a tough team that matched his style.

I found Fails from Tiger town to be a documentary series akin to that Stanford Prison Experiment. So many f-bombs and awkward conversations.

He has alot of passion and i think he really wanted to turn around Tigers but his style is polarising.
Wrong!
