I'm just about to throw a bag, my knitting, my phone charger in the car, and check hubby's put the portable starlink in so I can watch the game on my phone on Kayo this arvo. We are heading to Lake Cargelligo for the weekend (we'll, he's working, but I'm having some downtime).

I've stupidly made a bet with my co-worker. One of us will be wearing a home made headband with the other's team emblem on it on Monday. Sorry, fam, I should know better 🤦‍♀️

The injury situation is bad. But, with Benji’s style of coaching and man management, I'm backing the boys who are stepping up into some really big shoes, to do their job, for themselves, each other, Benji, and us!

I'm hoping Latu really lifts the boys in the 9, and that Luai takes control (I know we haven't really seen it yet, but maybe magic round works its magic?🤞🤞)

Anyway, I'll be off air most of the day, but hoping for a big game and a win would be sublime!

I just want the team to be even on the ruck. The last 2 weeks has been a joke. Lazy and slow and giving away penalties. If you get fast linespeed then the ruck is easier to control. Wait for them to come and they get on their front and a fast play the ball. Not rocket science.

Also I think when Hope comes on and is involved in the tackle, he should be the one first off and to marker. Notice when he is last on he pushes the boundaries and gives away or nearly gives away penalties and also struggles to get to marker because he hasn't the strength and speed to run them. If he and Tyrell tackle for example, he gets off first and goes to 2nd marker with Tyrell being bigger is able to control the speed of the play the ball then retreats to first marker. Crap that a NRL player has to do it but even though he has a decent technique, he does not have the strength to control the player on the ground.

Agree. Getting burned in the middle and the ruck has been slower than an albo promise....
The result of Api being out - the line speed all but disappeared past two weeks. Hope is a battler but hasnt developed into a dominating 9 at NRL level. IMO. Maybe Latu is a sneaky play today and they can move at another level of pace in attack... dang I hope to see TRell, Roycey and Nuuuua busting them at Latus level of speed....
Some good news is Wakeham is out and Simpkin takes over for MSE, thats a win for us and a loss for them 🙏 😎 🐅

Given our last few weeks I thought I'd be more pessimistic about this game but I have a funny feeling we will get away with a win today.

I have no solid evidence to base this on, maybe the 32 degrees 87% humidity and frosty bintangs by the pool are clouding my judgement.....

Anyway time to relocate from the pool to the bar to settle in before the game starts....
