Magpies Heritage Jersey

I was wondering does anyone know when and if the Wests Tigers will wear the Magpies Heritage jersey this season?

It will be worn in the SCG match against St George, which I believe will be the 50th Anniversary of the 1961-1963 GF battles between Wests and St George.

Whilst the SCG isn't the best ground to watch rugby league, it has a great atmosphere IMO and a strong history, always enjoy going there to watch sport (except one game against souths). Playing there against the drags will be a challenge again. Hopefully we'll get a fair go from the ref unlike the grandfinal in 1963 if I have the correct year.

Personally if we're going to wear a heritage jersey we should wear the 2000 jersey. Forget the Balmain and Wests jersey from yesteryear. We've brought in the new color into our jersey to signify we're our own identity, let's start wearing the WT jersey's from the past as our own heritage jersey.

Agreed.

In saying that, we should identify a significant event for wests and balmain that is recognised on important milestones (ie: 75, 100 years etc).

Probably go with the 69 or 89 grand final for balmain and 63 grand final for wests
