MAGPIES READY TO FLY IN JUNIOR REPS
7/02/2012 11:57:45 AM

Players from the Western Suburbs Magpies Harold Matts and SG Ball teams have been presented with their gear kit for the 2012 Junior Representative season.

The Magpies take on South Sydney at Erskineville Oval on Saturday, February 11\. Kick-off for Harold Matthews (U16) is 11am and SG Ball (U18) at 12.30pm.

The Magpies have some exciting young talent in their ranks. SG Ball players Billy Kitt, Harry Grove and Sol Kamuta have already spent some time training with the Wests Tigers U20s squad during the pre-season.

In the Harold Matthews squad, Mason Cerruto, Robbie Vai and Makaere Bush are backing up again from a strong season in the same competition last year. The Magpies are predicting a bright future for Cerruto, Vaj and Bush.

The jerseys look great but unfortunately for some reason it wont allow me to post a picture of them on here.

Thet are just the Wests SG Ball and Harold Matthews Cup Jerseys for the 2012 season.

They look fantastic as all important stake holders feature on the jersey. If only it was the same for the open age players. :unamused:

Interesting to see Wests Leagues Campbelltown sponsor the junior reps. About time!!!! Thumbs up!

And interesting to see their jersey is made by Canterbury…. yet Wests Tigers is XBlades and the NSW Cup jersey is Kooga??????

I was sworn to secrecy but it meets the crieria I have in a jersey.

Instantly identifiable as a Magpies jersey…...
subtle modern touches to keep it looking fresh....
We have come on board with Men Of League so their logo will be on the jersey...

Holy toledo, that's a massive drubbing for the SG Ball team. Thought they were supposed to be good?

Could have been a bad day at the office.

Maybe Souths just have one of those teams this season.

Hard to tell

I went out and had a look, Souths looked very good, just too big in the forwards, steam rolled them. Billy Kitt didn't come back for the second half, looked like a hip injury or maybe a side strain.
Fullback had some nice touches and the lock had a red hot go, but SOuths miles too good.

They had a couple of players to watch, the 5/8 Morecombe in particular was very good.

I know they are down on personnel but with Jason Williams still coaching I was hoping for something better than 64 to nil. Harry Grove needs to be in the starting line up.
Billy broke a couple of ribs so looks like he will be out for most of the SG Ball season.

Souths do have a very good side and can really put some points on if the defence isn't commited, sounds like Wests gave up once Billy Kitt went off. I can't understand how with so many kids to choose from they come up with a team that isn't competitive. :crazy

The size of the loss is dissapointing however that is a gun Souths team … most were in the Ball Cup last year and with outside backs like Tyronne Philllips and Alex Johnson, cashing in on the go forward of the Lolo brothers and the slick dummy half work of McInnes they will carve up plenty more defences this year.

Wests have had two very strong years at that age division and have virtually none of last years team backing up.
A lull in fortune is unsurprising.

Another problem is the shocking draw the boys have been handed (compare it to say Cronulla who would have to sleep through Feb & March to miss the 8).

Lets hope the boys can fire up against a Manly side chockers full of Central Coast talent
