One fact that i often find missed in these discussions is that western culture is built on christian values. Now you can argue there has been a split between church and state but the fact remains that the country we love and the freedom we endure is based around a belief many mock and belittle.

Though not religious, I was raised on those values and am often shocked at the words, attitudes and actions of those that profess to believe in whatever deity. The PM is a prime example for mine.

Any signings yet?

@happy_tiger the answer to which question?

Whether all the talk about players coming and going has affected our performance

Some on here clearly don't know much about the Christian religion yet talk quite a bit about it in a demeaning manner... smh

Madge here, “ I think that Christianity has had its impact on the whole world not just Australia....just the simple things like (you shall not kill) for example....without Christianity we would be behaving like apes...Christianity brings guidelines and balance to humanity whether you believe in it or not...the religion has serverly impacted the way humans think and react throughout their days.” Anyways back to singnings...rumour has it I have decided to offload the whole top 30.

@pawsandclaws1
Back in those times, the authorities acted with mostly "good intentions". ( did they get it 100% right? . . nobody ever does ) Victims of sexual abuse from family members, abandoned babies, parents drunk or in chemically mind altered states, life-long unemployment, no means of supporting children, young and pregnant . . . . all received the wisdom of the authorities. ( white, black, and polka dotted skin colours ) . . . but if the ones with polka dotted skin tended to rape their nieces and nephews, then maybe they had a higher incidence of involvement from those horrible authorities trying to prevent those rapes ?
It is comical to judge the rights and wrongs of 60 years ago with the criteria of today.
Also, was this boys home you mentioned exclusively for aboriginals ? If so, why didn't you mention the ones for the white kids, and all the hideous acts that took place at ***all*** of them ?

With regard to Folau- could this current court situation be just a money thing to fund the expansion of his fathers Church.
If one starts their own Church does that mean you can automatically call yourself a pastor, priest or whatever? Maybe you sit your own exam and give yourself 100%.
Tigers Forum members should start their own Church and elect a spiritual leader.
Any nominations?

Absolutely you can, go check out the Pastafarians, it shows you how ridiculous religion is.

Just make up a God and say you worship it and claim you're religious freedoms are being violated if anybody says anything about your phoney God or your phoney belief.

If someone denies your God exists call them blasphemers and threaten them with your God's chosen phoney punishment.
Then ask them to prove your God doesn't exist and ask them to prove any God exists.

Your belief in your made up God has as much credibility as the 3 major religions of the world or any other God or supernatural belief
None!

I'm happy for it to go anywhere, but I'll call out BS everytime I see it, I don't care what thread it's in.

That's cool Tiger just start a thread that covers the exact subject you want to talk about in regards to religious beliefs

Enough from the religious scholars.

Take it to a new thread. Anything from this post onward will be deleted.

I think if Madge has learnt anything from this situation is that Mum's the word as far as possible future signatures are concerned

The minute the press get hold of anything it looks 10 x worse than it actually is

He made a real meal of this. Created massive disharmony in the playing group for absolutely no benefit whatsoever.

Can anyone say with certainty Madge had anything to do with the publicity regarding the DWZ signing? It's far more likely (DMZ's) manager pushed this into the media for his client to get as many interested parties as possible. We should also remember Penrith publicly announced he was free to explore other options.

If my recollection is correct, Madge tried to brush it off when questioned on it.

That’s how I remember it too. When questioned I think he said yep he’d love to have DWZ at the Tigers but it was in the hands of his mgr, something along those lines. He also mentioned he doesn’t talk about recruitment.

Ha we all know you dont have to directly say anything for the press to report what they think they know. They love disharmony and will create it at any opportunity.
They are like scavengers trying to remain relevant.

I see journalists as only being 1 step above used car salesmen and 2 steps above politicians.
