Maguire Signs Until End of 2023

let's hope Hooper's mail is right for a change and Madge, Lee and Pascoe are not too far away from announcing an extension. Maguire is the only person apart from Bellamy that could fix this mess.

Hooper is an self confessed Wests Tigers supporter.

He has said this many times on 360 and trippleM,

I'm aware he's a tigers fan, but he's never been afraid to stick the boot in. will never forget the interview with Pascoe on MMM around the time where JT was given the flick where he tried to throw his weight around. I get he's a journo, I'm one myself, but some of the stuff he prints is poor.

It's mostly poor. I'm actually quite surprised Pooper is attempting to correct a story on behalf of Tigers and someone may have actually given him the inside story.

Shockingly Poopers hit rate has actually improved. Got Bateman right too.

Was funny during the week Buzzard and Pooper on 360 were talking and Buzzard said he had mail the Cammy is going to retire but he was only 80% sure so he hasn't made it back page news ..and it's just snippet in a column for now ..he only makes it back page news if he is 99.9% sure his mail is correct..

Oh yes it did and virtually all on here were amongst them. Called the traitor out immediately for what it obviously was, then lambasted similarly to how others are reacting now, because I have called out Maguire for an inappropriate rant.

I do though see Maguire as an honourable, my word is my bond type of man and hope that he can keep his temper in check to steer the team properly.

A lot of the comments from WT fans re: Maguire shows where we are at as a club. People see his rage and want to go to our players "Oh you poor thing. There there, precious." Any players that are muting out his tirades should get ready to ship off to another club.

Bellamy is prone to a rage or ten. Do you think that it doesn't get the best out of his players?

But do you often see it in the dressing room with Crankypants Bellyache like you quite often do with Maguire .....

Pretty sure I have seen Bellamy going off in a dressing room, yeah.

Not as often, because Bellamy isn't coaching a team of perennial losers.

But I don't think they deserved that .....94% completion rate ......OK the defence wasn't great and we lacked intent /enthusiasm ...but Madge needs to own that ..because if some nuffy like me could see players like Aloiai , Grant and Lucy were getting ragged and mentally shot the week before he sure as hell should of

He doesn’t do that now with Penrith. Bennett has never done it with any team. Showing emotion doesn’t mean you give a crap more than anyone else.

Madge is a guy who wouldn't moan about it either. He would be confident of turning it around, getting us in the top 8 again, then getting a nice fat extension to become a permanent coach here for the rest of his career. I'm backing him all the way!

Possibly. Although 3 years (including next) is suitable to where the team is at.

I don’t think so, that gives him 4 years total which is more than enough time to see some improvement.

I don't think it's insulting at all.
Maguire knows the ropes, he knows he has to perform to the same standards he holds the team up to. I'm sure, for example, that he wishes Packer and Reynolds hadn't been given the lengthy contracts they have. If Maguire performs, he can be confident of a bigger contract extension.
