Maguire: Tigers won't be complacent

@happy_tiger mate of course Talau should’ve played , in hindsight , did you bother watching Madge press conference?? Mbye passed the protocol... maybe u just wanna be the one saying “I told ya so” today but this’ a circular argument not situated in facts & gives no closure

What would you have Madge do for this week ? Now that we probably don’t make the 8

No ....Madge said the 1st time he hit full speed he broke down

I'm not trying to be a know it all , but I've done fitness tests to prove my fitness before games

Your last test is at 100% ...you don't do a 75% and go "Ok all good" because you know it WIll get tested 100% game time

The reason you do the 1/2 pace run through and 75% run through is you might prevent a far more serious injury when the strain / tear starts twinging

C'mon hapster you would have played at 1% and slayed em..

Not a chance ...other day I stretched up to get something off the top shelf and strained my calf

Its official ....I'm soft

But we digress ......Madge and or Moussa screwed the pooch

I'm guessing you disagree as well

Nope..Mbye shouldn't have played even if he didn't want to go with Talau given its not the best way to prepare for a debut..McQueen was available ..Chee-Kam was moved to centre anyway..

And it screwed with the interchange ....I gor the feeling the only reason Farah stayed out as long as he did was to try and save an interchange and keep a few players fresher for the back end of the game

And the debut ....sometimes the less time you have to think about things the better

And again ...if he isn't ready pick someone who you might pick ....even if it is Jennings ....

You better watch the presser …he said it

I watched it and I know what he said but you are making an entire argument out of part of one sentence. Maguire did not say they failed to test him at full speed in the warm-up.

@Madge We just don't seem to get these 50/50 calls... I truly believe the NRL are trying to push us out of Sydney..

Absolutely- no doubt.

I dunno, we did get some good calls go our way in our wins over Newy and the Cowboys. The Cows get dudded way more than we do.

I agree, it was a bad decision to keep mbye playing

What really craps me off tho, r the comments people r making to momo pre game, its quite fine for a person to hide behind a social profile and throw there opinion about the match to momo, but what they do not realise, is that those words r dangerous..... in worst cases it can lead to suicide.... imagine if momo was your brother.... and u were a hardcore tigers fan, would u carry on and disown him for 1 crucial mistake, when all game he was putting his heart and soul into the game......

And your ignoring the fact in that case the player was asked if he thought he was fine

@happy_tiger forgotten he’s captain? 😛
Not disagreeing he should not have played however he was the more logical choice still if he could last 80 in the centres. Would’ve won... I don’t see it as anything else other than just shit luck and possibly poor physio resources as we’ve seen many, MANY times in how this club’s been run over the last decade. I’m beyond stringing the coach up because he didn’t throw a 21-year-old to the wolves in a game I believed we were always destined to lose... still shaking my head over the sin bins, Benji 5th tackle penalty... and YOU bringing up the god damn time slot curse that I also happen to religiously believe in!

I submit that every injured but conscious player in the history of football has been asked if he is ok. I'm not really bothered what Mbye thought about his own status.

@TheDaBoss post-game ? Never realised how full of keyboard heroes my FB can be hey, absolute insanity to put that loss on Momi - at least we true supporters are not! Love the optimism and if he can start to believe in himself (whilst also only having kick duties in desperate times) then I see much promise for him in continuing his first grade career - whether he’s with us in future or not.
