Oh and Walters who was good . A real crisp pass off the deck , in both directions . Reynolds looks like u7s learning to pass the ball . It’s real strange how he got to 30 not knowing how to pass the ball .

Reynolds should be out of consideration for the dummy half spot. He was always terrible there but he seems to have regressed further. Walters was fine, I think he overplayed his hand a little bit which stifled the attack but otherwise seemed solid.

I reckon with Brooks and Benji there Walters might not be able to jump out as much as he did against Penrith. They’ll be demanding the ball and will probably get mad if he doesn’t give it to them

Tbh it’s not like Farah stayed behind the ruck all game . So having a dynamic 9 isn’t a bad thing . It’s just hopefully he realises it’s the Benji and brooks show .
I would say a lot of the 9s and trial stuff would be “hey you don’t need to get a 9 look how good I am “ . It will settle down once the games begin proper .

Not intimidated but might feel more obliged to give them the ball straight off the ground considering they’re the starting halves and it’s a more ‘proper’ trial game

I would be very disappointed if Reynolds is in our starting 17. Walters has been too good and Mbye seems like Madge’s first choice hooker. Reynolds rarely got a run in first grade when fit last year so don’t think Madge is a massive fan, he was last option for hooker
