Only problem with our recruiting is the height. A lot of our team wouldnt have passed muster to have a ride at wonderland.

kinda make up for it in the forwards
twal, mcqueen, matulino, packer, grant (all probably well ove6 foot) eisenhuth, aloiai, sue arent midgets either

True, the forwards have some real size for once.

Surely that haircut is the result of having a dare with someone?

He could have Keith Flint's haircut, as long as he plays good footy and keeps his nose clean I couldn't care less what he looks like.

We've put up with Woodsy's hair for 3 years, I have less issue with a bad mullet. Naiqama is still king of the Tigers hair bunch.

Surely he finds a spot in first grade next year. Was 1st grade material when he went to the UK and looks to still be. Winger or centre he's there

I remember him having a few games when he stood out a bit, but a lot where he was almost invisible.
He want to have improved since then to hold a first grade spot even here.
I don't go much on SL form
But he may be ok
We won't know until the season starts
I think we need someone actually FAST in the backs,
We've lost the only genuine speed merchant that we had, looks like we won't be scoring many long range tries

it's not just about long rage tries, having a speedster doesn't allow the defense to compress in on us. if we had JAC on the outside, they wouldn't compress coz they don't want him getting on the outside. hence, our middle would be affected too.

same goes in defense. noffa has to jam in and up coz he turns around like a truck.

It really surprises me how unfamiliar people are with him considering the amount of time he spent with the Storm. Same way they were unfamiliar with Tui.

I know, just as some thought Kelly Egan was a female. Only been around the game for 30 years.

I don't think we should worry too much about size. It's their ability we need. If they can do the job in its totality its all I want. Remember TNT? No giant in stature but sure as hell was an effective winger for us.

I agree , but most of the top teams know that if hey can put a speedster into a hole they're not likely to get picked up. That's what we will miss. And as you said they can't just leave him and forget him they have to stay wider.

You know what else I liked about that shot he put on?

He checked to see if the opposing player was ok. A touch of class there.

Might have the aggression we need but he doesn't contravene the "No DH" Policy.

Will be a fantastic purchase IMHO.

Watching his highlights this year,I reckon he could be One of our best buys for next year. I love the depth we have built in our backline. Unlike previous years the pressure is on, if you don't perform there will be somebody half decent ready to take your spot. Really looking forward to 2018 ( even though I was really looking forward to 2017 at the start of the year lol).

The Cowboys are doing ok with a backline devoid of speed. Really, there aren't that many tries scored when it's just speed alone that counts.
Nofa has scored tries from our own 22 on several occasions and he is no out and out speedster, but he's quick enough. With Brooks, Tui and Milne (if he makes the firsts), we have reasonable pace without being electric.

I'd still rather have speed than not , any speed we get . We seem to export it to other teams. Then watch it bite us on the bum.

Brooks' speed is underrated.

He is probably the 4th fastest halfback in the entire comp behind Mbye, Johnson and Pearce

I think he will be our fastest player in 2018
