He won't win you a game but he won't lose you one either which for a winger isn't bad at all. In this day and age you probably want a bit more of a winger than that if they're going to be really good, but it's not like he's a liability and if we need him for 10-15 games a year for injury purposes or whatever we'll be well served. Good depth, and below average but servicable starter.

MWZ caught a bomb running through a couple of weeks ago and scored a try by then putting it down. Maybe I'm too used to us having a really poor standard of wingers or poor standard of kicks to the wings, but I don't recall a better WT winger try where they caught the kick and then scored in a while.
He is improving every week. If i had to pick between him and Kev on a wing it would be a no brainer for me. I'm looking forward to seeing how he shapes up next year after a full offseason with our club, you could tell for the fist month or so when he was in and out he was a little lost, but he's starting to find his feet now.
Nothing flash, but a very reliable winger. One of those players who will do well when his inside men do their job.

He looks very confident in himself to me. Players like Kev and Nofo always look nervous. One wng spot is his to lose I guess.

MWZ didn't have a "bad game" in the context of 80 mins - 95% of what he did was pretty good, but there's the difference between FG and RG when you can't put Uate over the touchline either opportunity.
First time around I can cop, but second time he had far more time to make the shot and still got it wrong.
But I will say Uate has physically got the better of many wingers in his career, and watching Marty Taupau slide off Sue like a cake of soap, not the best day for 1-1 tackle efforts.
