Mania Rudolph

U expect the club to keep them all ???

We have signed the core of our teAm that we will move with for the next 5-8 years. Molten as much as u don't like him he is a good cover for many positions.

On a another note. Moltz as a 6 would be good choice with our new 7.

I think the other thread which discussed Rudolph signing with Manly said enough really.

They offered him an NRL contract - which we couldn't. He's somehow gone downhill over the last year or two and we have much better prospects coming through from Keebra.

Well actually the Tigers did offer Rudolph a 2yr NRL deal to play in the centres but they were too late!

Too small to be a centre, too many in front of him at fullback and five-eighth, I can understand the motives behind the move.

Point is you can't keep them all as someone else said , I think Rudolph will have more competition at Manly in his preferred positions so I would of thought the move wasn't a smart one

But if he is going to get more money at Manly you might as well take it , he has no guarantees at the Tigers either

I also think he would rather be in a team that is consistently in the top 4 year after year then a team that came 15th this year and is going to take 2-3 years to rebuild..

Does it matter when you're playing NSW Cup? I hope I'm wrong for his sake but I don't see him getting into the NRL side unless there are a lot on injuries.

We also have alot of young players especially in the backs while manly have alot of older guys Jamie Lyon,David Williams,Brett Stewart,Steve Matai Ect ect. And even their young guns are all over 23 Ben Farrar,Tom Symonds,Daly Cherry-Evans,Jamie Buhrer,Kieran Foran and those are just the backs..

Agree. From what I've seen we have better options, but good luck to him all the same.

Hahaha This comment is such a crock of s**t it is actually laughable!! You obviously don't know the kid what so ever because anyone who does wouldn't suggest such stupidity!

And I can tell you all now, his decision had NOTHING to do with money! Again, if you knew him you would laugh at this ridiculous remark too!

Gee this forum can be so entertaining sometimes! Haha

Nothing wrong with it being about the money tigercrib, he's young and would love a bit more financial security. perfectly understandable if we couldn't offer him what he needed.

not saying it WAS about money, i wouldn't know but not gonna hold it against him if it was.

Mate,Are you slow or something? I never said his decision had to do with money, I said Manly are consistently in the top 4 and we arn't….Re-read my comment. Also i don't know him and i have never met him i was talking about in general....Wouldn't you rather go to a team that consistently goes to the finals instead of a team that is going to take 1-3 years of re-building just to be in finals contention...

Matai is 29, D Williams 27, B Stewart 28 - Only Lyon is over 30\. They're hardly on the edge of retirement.

DCE is 24, Farrar 26, Foran 23

Symonds is a backrower, Buhrer is a backrower/hooker. Both can fill in as backs but really they're not.

If his plan is to wait until these people retire he's going to be there for a long time. Plus they've got Hiku,Taufua and guys like Esikeli Tonga (1 game this year) Dane Chishold (zero games) in their squad who never get a go.

Like I said, I wish him well but he's going to have to step things up a notch to take Lyon's spot when he retires and that assumes Manly don't go out and buy a centre. He seems like a speculator on Manly's part at this stage.

Well i think it's better to be depth in a top 4 side then depth in a team that came second last this year and will take 1-3 years to rebuild…They will probably put him in NSW cup and use him as depth if they get alot of injuries or if someone is on rep duties and they need a quick cover. Which is probably why they bought him, Also The Sea-Eagles NSW cup side has come last, 2nd last and 3rd last in the past 3 years so they probably needed someone who can play (and is a very good goal kicker). Or they have seen some thing in him that we haven't seen. Either way i wish him the best and hope he has a great career (Hopefully in 1st grade)

I think it is great he got a contract.

Unless he is independently wealthy money should play some role

Money isn't why he chose to sign with Manly. If his decision was based on money he would've signed with the Tigers NRL Squad!
He told Mick Potter himself that its not about the money!!!

Is it because of a certain Tigers assistant coach that forced his hand?

I don't rate Moltzen! And if that's my opinion so be it. He's the most rubbish, and worse still, HEARTLESS player I can recall. He's an embarrassment to the team. How many chances has he had in the halves? Howard times have we heard him say he wants to make the FB position his own only for him to cower like a baby under a high ball or refuse to put his body on the line to tackle.
And same goes for the halves. I've heard enough BS dribble from this passenger thanks.
