Manly Sea Eagles tipped to make a $600k play for Woods

This is the article from yesterday.

Woods not going anywhere say Tigers

Wests tigers claim they want to retain prop Aaron Woods long-term.Club CEO Grant Mayer was responding to a Daily Telegraph story yesterday claiming Woods, off contract next season, was being discussed by several clubs, including Manly. **''The only reason Aaron would go to Manly is for a swim' Mayer said ''He is a local boy and we strongly believe in retaining our own''**
sorry i couldn't write it yesterday school stuff took over.

The Daily Telegraph Sports is the "Current Affair" of all newspapers. It just loves to stir and then put the knife in.

Not going to lie, he'd suit the Manly team.
Their style of play, etc. He'd kill it over there.

Don't want it to happen though.

he will do well no matter who he plays for, hopefully us!

of course he is going to draw attention from other clubs.

perhaps woodsy has made his intentions very clear?

that he will stay at the tigers no matter what, personally i'd like to think i'd do that if i were good enough. wouldn't enjoy playing for manly or the dogs half as much as representing the tigers.

The only reason Woods would suggest leaving is to up his buying price. Nothing to do with Aaron Woods, his manager's job is to make sure he gets the best salary and he is in a very good negotiating position.

I reckon he will settle on $500k a season with the Tigers. He is a local, he developed his game playing with Farah and he is a leader among the forwards coming through our ranks.
I'd be very surprised if he left.

More then just Manly will chase him if we dont sign him up soon, $600 would hope we could get him a bit cheaper but supply & demand is the thing. Also Manly love other clubs putting the time & Money developing Juniors & then signing them, saves them plenty of Money.
