Marika Koroibete

I think a fit Chris Lawrence could make enough tackles for both of them, and he'd be my pick to babysit a rookie winger in defence. Pairing Marika with Ayshford on the other side might provide too many heart attack moments.

Koroibete is a left side winger so at this stage the chances of him playing on Ayshford's side are slim. He and Lawrence would be a gun pairing though.

Chris Lawrence at his best and Marika would be the best left side pairing in the NRL. Chris is very good at putting his winger into space by hitting the gap at pace by running great lines and attracting 2 or more defenders. Marika has enough pace to keep up with Chris and that once he is in the clear no one is likely to catch him. Chris being such a good defender can only helop Marika's development in defence. I for one am looking forward to next year.

i agree lawrence and marika could be a great combination but i am not looking forward to next year due to the fact we have only one prop in woods the other prop keefy has a motor like a hair dryer the rest only kids.

Obviously heaps of talent , but opposition clubs haven't really had a chance to work out his strengths and weaknesses yet

I think we will get a better idea of how good he will be after the 2014 season

clearly super talented but he still a rookie. we need to expect rookie errors while he develops.

Has the right attitude though. He is always looking to redeem himself after an error and that will go a long way.

It will be really interesting when he lines up against Uate. We will get a really clear indication of the guy's speed.

Koro & more so Woodsy were the highlights for me this season in an otherwise disappointing season. Does anyone know what is Koro's nickname or what the boys have christened or call him?

Did anyone else see the amount of times Koro dropped the ball? Is this a problem to anyone else? I'm sure that he will be a good player in time but the wraps you people are putting on him are not deserved IMO

I don't see it as a problem but put it more down to rookie errors and how he plays the game at 100%. I think that he will still make the occasional mistake but after a full pre-season training and getting more FG games under his belt he will slowly make less errors.

No I didn't,
I know he's scored about 7 tries in 6 games tho. Not bad for a rookie.
If you've seen him play in the NYC you would know the wrap are warranted.

I hope so, I had to look away when he was about to get the ball as he made me very nervous as did Moltz. The occasional high pitch scream of joy, claps of high praise and the all to many yells of frustration could be heard from my lounge room this year. Did I hear that Koro doesn't speak much english? I think that when he knows the lingo then he might do a bit better.

I didn't see him drop it enough to think its going to become an ongoing issue.

He has had some handling issues, it hasnt been confined to NRL either….every time Ive seen him (not often) he does not seem real secure in handling, it will come with experience & confidence

He did drop the ball a few times in his six FG Games but I recall Moltzen and Lote dropping more and they have played a hell of a lot more games.

Practice will see him get better and I for one love seeing a winger hit the ball at pace whether at taps or on his wing. Beau played great this year but he quite often ran slowly in his hit ups whereas Koro does everything at 100%

Go tigers

Exactly we need to look for the future there are some there that dont like it that we didnt re sign Beau Ryan but we need to look at whats ahead and its a bright future and you can always replace a winger.

I agree, his handling is a minor issue. As talented as he is i can already feel huge expectations being placed on a kid, this sort of stuff can lead to negativity as he does not meet unfair expectation, he is an inexperienced rookie, albeit talented who will most likely need time to be the star we think he can be
