I think this is excellent! How often did we scream for our previous CEO or chairman to make a statement about anything…..and got NOTHING. Thats right, NOTHING!!! Dont you guys remember?

There are many streams of thought on the Farah issue and I see both sides. I can read between the lines. I dont expect the club to come out and say he's been punted because he is a devisive pain and not a team player, which is the crux of it. Anyone other that us WT fans have been saying that for years.

I am so glad that the mysterious leak early in the week, with the clear intention to paint Robbie as the victim and the club as a-holes has backfired. Coach and chairman have come out publicly and not buckled.

Im disappointed that Robbie wont finish his time with us, but in a weird way im sort of relieved. I just pray, now that the message is clear to Robbie, that we make a clean cut and start 2016 fresh. I seriously hope that with Farah gone, we will see the end of 'tail wagging the dog' and the players running the show.

Swordy, the club had done enormous damage to its credibility in the manner in which this whole matter has been mishandled. Actually, it has been so badly mishandled that there appears to be correlation between the mishandling of this issue and our performance this year. The common link of course being our coach. I believe the issue is Farah knows Taylor can't coach and therefore does not believe his "vision".

Paws , I never thought that you and I could be thinking so much alike. It would be difficult for an experienced first gradeer to cop some of the rubbish that Taylor has served up his year. And as he has been so inflexible in his ideas( until it was no longer logical to keep it up)
And he would have been almost impossible to get through with anything like a suggestion on something that could help the team.
I would think that a lot of coaches would use their captain as a sounding board especially while they are getting to know the team. But Taylor has come over as a self opinionated arse
Since the beginning of the season.
Bfarah probably gave up trying to get through to him.
Check out tomorrow's Sat. Telegraph. A couple of interesting articles about the club I think, only could read the headlines , could not access the rest
Could be an interesting day.

A lot of words that mean not much. Typical of Marina, she's out of her depth

Here ladies and gentlemen, is the source of this entire fiasco:

Farah's management was told of the club's stance after the final State of Origin game, although the 31-year-old only learned of the decision during the week.

Good to see her 18 year old son remembers how Bennett got rid of Lewis. I'm nearly 25 and wasn't even born yet. However, her kid must really know his history and have an excellent pre-natal memory seeing as Lewis got dumped from Brisbane in 1990 and her son was born in 1996-1997\. Must of been really heartbreaking for the young kid.

Wow. I like it. Impressed.

There's clearly more to this picture with Robbie and has been for a long time.

Don't really care whatever that is anymore.

Let's just get on with it.

Sure these are just words but that's a CEO's job.

Bring Cherrington on, let's cop some more floggings as the young guns get their aim straight, but at least let's build an empire.

Over floating on the ceiling Trainspotting style following this club.

What a load of nonsense.

Who in the club has a better 'winning culture' than Robbie Farah? One premiership, one SOO series, numerous wins at international level, a patent and passionate hatred of losing… What is she talking about?
So far Taylor has done a fine job of creating a losing culture, wouldn't you say?

This is about control. Robbie doesn't fit because he doesn't cow-tow to the idiots around him. The board will back the one it chose and therefore can be held responsible for. A man who urinates on people and is so loved by his players that one of them decks him down a set of stairs - and remember Souths fired Taylor, not the player. Roll on Mad Monday.

To summarize what I wrote in the other thread about Go's statement to supporters:
Robbie has more points on the 'winning culture' scale than any player in the club, by miles. Taylor is developing a losing culture, look at the premiership ladder.

This is all about control and ego. Robbie does not suffer fools gladly. As captain he should be consulted, his opinion matters. The club is pushing out the greatest Tiger of the Wests Tigers era in order to serve the ego of a little man who just wants to be the boss.

Trainspotting u are hilarious, u must be on it now after those comments?!?
Lets get ready for the floggings, yippee cant wait…
Let the empire begin, what a load of crap..
When Bennett did it to the broncos, he was in charge a seasoned veteran coach not the idiot!
Broncos had several senior players, we will have none....
As others have said Taylor can't handle someone smarter than him at the club..
If I was farah I'd gladly go to state cup, watching Taylor crash and burn, then we is dumped 8 weeks in bring on the new coach.
Rise of the farah, he will return..
The rest of the players won't play for him, u wait!

Marina was a bit silly to bring up the Wally reference because it happened in about 1990, well before her son was born and Bennett had a superstar in Kevvy Walters in the wings (Cherry has potential but he has a long way to go).

The thing I am most concerned about is the future. Can anyone really see Teddy, Moses, Sirro, Brooks etc all wanting to re-sign under Taylor? This will all be for nought if they decide to walk because they can't stand the coach.

Does anyone know what the younger brigade are thinking as the whole premise of the Farah sacking seems to imply that the kids will stay to build this famed culture.

I think this board is worse than the last one and Ms Go is a complete dud as a club leader and administrator.

She clearly believes using business-speak in an article will be understood by the fan base and inspire members to re-invest in their club. I'm sure we'll all be using terms like strategic pillars in our breakfast conversations with family today. NOT!

So, in summary, Ms Go tells us that Robbie is a self-absorbed, arrogant twat whose prickly personality and sense of entitlement make it impossible for the club to be united and for a winning culture to be established.

So Robbie's reputation is tarnished, officially now it would seem, although with no specific evidence provided other than their impression of his character and influence on the squad and club. So, after 13 seasons of service to the Tigers, he is officially outed by the chairperson as a source of disunity within the club and, in doing so, makes it even less likely that another club would want to take him on.

And, at the same time as outing Robbie, she unreservedly supports the direction the inexperienced, petulant Taylor is taking the club…..that is, to the wooden spoon in 2015 or to a flukey second last spot.

Harry and other sponsors must be really impressed!!

So, great effort Ms Go. You are the Peta Credlin of Wests Tigers...someone who has presided over complete dysfunction and abysmally embarrassing performance. Thankfully, Abbott will go soon, and so should you!

The club spin Dept. had a brainstorming session and came up these weasel words.

No one in our club epitomizes a winning culture more than Farah.

The issue of course is Taylor hasn't been able to communicate/articulate his "vision" which was written for him on the back of a cornflakes packet.

But we're moving forward, heading in the right direction. we're making the tough decisions and we'll win the spoon.

Farah is university educated and accredited.

Taylor is a graduate of Ashcroft HS who has only recently stopped writing with crayons.

I think Farah does know. Taylor doesn't. Ms Go backs Taylor. We're screwed.

Nice assumption

Well said GCT and thanks for the tip about DT. With Tedesco's name now emerging in support of Farah there could be some interesting times ahead.

If they want a winning culture then spend the money on a good experienced coach, not Taylor or Potter but some-one like Folkes or Toovey. I think it is a mistake the board are putting all there eggs in Taylors basket when he doesn't have the experience or results to back up his plan. We will probably be in a better position to pay out his contract then be at a disadvantage of a huge chunk of cap for a bloke to play against us.

Would not be surprised if that is the next step.
First have Taylor gets rid of all the excess cap pressure and obviously won't have any success in 2016\. Next comes the announcement that Taylor is not capable of taking our young cubs to the next level and he is dropped for a new coach with experience and respect.
