Marina Go resigns Barry O'Farrell appointed

Go’s relationship with Greenberg explains why they were heavy handed with the punishment. Greenberg and Beattie won’t last the year, the game is destroying itself under their leadership and it needs a total rethink and overhaul

On reflection I may have gone off a tad. I just reacted to the ‘looking for a Wests guy.’ Now I read it as maybe they just meant Wests Ashfield not Magpies.
Dinosaurs? Well I’m one for starters but I’m over the bickering about Balmain vs Wests. I just want to follow a well run, United, competitive club.

Everyone seems to be calling for a businessman from the high end of town. Haven't seen anyone suggest any names. I think O'Farrell is a decent appointment. Has experience and should be well connected with the corporate world. Probably the best appointment we could have made.
 
Was Go considered a good choice when she was appointed? I cant remember what the thoughts were on her.
 
It is amazing how being the ceo of Racing Australia(O'Farrell) is acceptable to Toddles and yet Daley wasnt.I would think that Racing Australia has an obvious connection to the gambling industry.
Yet another blatant example of Greenbergs hypocracy.Maybe Greenberg isnt smart enough to join the dots
 
Most thought that she was a good appointment as she was a true neutral but naturally a few couldnt handle the fact that she was a woman with no football background
 
There are plenty of question marks about this appointment. When O'Farrell went, I recall there were what 9 0r 10 other LNP MPs caught by ICAC. Are we to believe that no one in the LNP was aware of respective funding sources for election campaigns?

Remember there will be plenty of current LNP MPs and ex MPs looking to keep their snouts in the trough. It is always good to know that it is not that the snout is in the trough but the length of the snout.

Still, I am very saddened that Marina Go has left us. She was very good for WTs.

I can foresee Greenburg be given the boot if Daley is elected. Note Todd's press release about the rebuild of Allianz. The question remains, if Todd wants it, why doesn't he raise funds so the NRL pays for it?
 
Nice try P & C but you ought to keep this crap to the politics page - Funny how you seem OK with Daley's Property Development kickbacks whilst at Randwick Council. At least BOF resigned over one bottle of wine. Most Labor rabble are dragged kicking & screaming all the way thru the ICAC process.
 
A vintage bottle of Grange Hermitage should never be descibed as just "one bottle of wine" it is like saying a Maserati is just "a car"
 
O'Farrell wants to involve himself in our club, his history should come under scrutiny. And whether you like it or not Leichhardt TIger, he was leader in the term which had 9 or 10 MPs booted by ICAC. Now that is poor leadership or something worse or both. Questions should be asked and answered about this matter.

The LNP dirt brigade went after Daley at the start of the campaign and he is still there!
 
I dont want any politician as ceo of our club and why isnt Daley facing icac if it is as blatant as you are seem to be claiming.I have said on many occassions that politics in NSW is full of coruption on both sides of parliament there was a certain Bob Askin who was probably the most corrupt politician in Australias history even worse than Joh
 
I don't know anything about the guy apart from being a passionate Wests Tigers fan. Hope you're right!
