Kev looks to be under all sorts of pressure. Like a deer in the headlights. Don't know why, I think the Marion's will win comfortably.

At least he’s more likeable than the bafoon coaching the Blues. I can’t say I’d be disappointed to see the smug smile wiped off his face if QLD win the series.

Qld are a big chance of winning this series .....if our forwards can contain NSW in the forwards I reckon we will win the series

What makes you think that? NSW looked to be the stronger side imo.

Looks like the typical SOO series to me

NSW have the better forward pack ....Qld the better backs ......the big difference will come down to Cook and what platform his forwards lay for him

lol really your backs are better...good one

Tedesco>>>Pongo
Cotric>>>>Oates drop a bomb
Mitchell>>>Chambers
Morris>>>Morgan as a centre
Addo-Carr>>>Gagai
Munster===Walker
DCE>>>>Cleary

DCE..but he's a flog

Only a QLDerrrrrr would think otherwise

Yep Cook will be the difference I reckon. Streets ahead of any other dummy half in the comp at present and Qld put a makeshift Hunt as his opposite in that role? I suppose they had no other option, but I think it might be their weakest link in the team after so many years of it being their strongest.

Klemmer, Vaughan, Frizell, Haas & co will hopefully be able to get us on the front foot so that Cook can work some of his magic. I can't believe that Sims, De Belin, RCG and Peachey are all missing from that pack this year yet it still looks so strong.

@Spud_Murphy Crichton, Cordner, Morris, and I'm not sold on Murray. I also fear Walker might be a flop in a big game and we can't afford that given Clearys form.

Qld's left side looks scary ....so many scary good ball runners who within two strides can mess with a defenders thoughts

Morris is good defensively , Frizell is good defensively but if they have a weakness ...and they both have the same weakness .....is laterally they can struggle against pace ....having Munster ,Ponga and Morgan all side by side

Next issue I can't see Frizell lasting 80 either ....which means Morris will have another backrower he has never defended alongside for probably 15-20 minutes

Reckon for a 1st game it could be one of the higher scoring SOO games we will see ....35 + points

Cordner and Morris don’t worry me at all, they have plenty of experience and always play well above themselves in Origin. I think that both Crichton and Cleary will lift in the environment. I don’t have a problem with Crichton’s form in any case, I think he has been playing alright. And Walker? Well yes he could turn out to be another Mitchell Pearce on the big stage, or he could go gangbusters in his debut, who knows. I guess we’ll find out on Wednesday.

What I don’t understand is why everyone is holding the Qld team in such high esteem? Morgan hasn’t been in great form and he’s playing out of position at centre, they have no specialist dummy half, Hunt is there and he’s not always good under pressure, DCE hasn’t played for 6 weeks and I don’t think Mbye, Ofahengaue or Napa make for such a great impact off the bench. Their back row is their strength, and of course Munster & Ponga are always dangerous.

I have no doubt DCE will have a big game. Hunt is reliable just not when having to make an important catch. His short kicking can let him down as well, Ofa and Napa are both beasts on their day and game one is a real opportunity for both. Munster is unpredictable. Ponga is a wizard. Morgan is probably the most overrated player in the nrl for mine but he can defend. I guess he and Morris cancel each other out. I reckon it comes down to Ponga vs Cook. Or maybe Mitchell. I don't know. What I do know is I've seen some amazing nsw sides get blown away too many times.

I think their halves are better big match players than ours. I'm worried about Cody Walker at this level.
