I’d be dropping Brooks not Marshall

Brooks is here next year
Marshall isn't
We need to look ahead
If Brooks can't get his act together with a new halves partner then yes by all means drop him
Hopefully something will click together soon

Let's see how he goes over the next few years. He's definitely got potential.

Benji could be somewhat "in" on this. I know he wants this team to reach new heights and showing that no one is off-limits sends a clear message to the squad.

Madge may have had a little chat to him to sacrifice himself so the team can react (and so Josh gets a run). The side benefit being that Benji gets to freshen up.

That approach would still achieve what Madge desires and I'm sure Benji would be willing to take the hit for the team.

Maybe I'm overthinking it. But otherwise, its a risky and ballsy play from madge that could lead to destabilization.

Benji has been a great player, but his time is up

The Dally M leaderboard says otherwise

This could be true when you think about it.....

A game we are little chance of winning....shows the squad nobody is untouchable...that everyone is in competition for spots...and if we perform a christmas miracle and we win then woo hoo

Has there ever in the history of Rugby League been a single player that has shown promise for more years than Brooks !?

This week he needs to get his Man Management right. I really hope that Madge has learnt a few things after his apparent issues with Souths.

When you smash guys as he does with fitness, they'll be closer to breaking point. Alongside building a squad that is more mentally resilient, you need to manage these scenarios carefully. I hope he's done that.

You can only pull this trigger so many times in a year. We've only got 30 players to rotate through.

Yes mate I am, Brooks now has to finally stand up and we will be cooking with gas

Let’s hope he stands up a bit better than the last time Benji and Robbie where not there

I dont think Madge would have the mindset that its a game with little chance of winner.

Agree but I see the reasoning why Benji is being rested against a large and aggressive pack that wants blood ? after last weekend ! Sensible ...have to keep all your options open moving forward ..

I suspect that Benji has been dropped for failing to show leadership. His body language in the Titans game was appalling. He is the senior player in the team, but wasn't barking to the players after the drop goal and was standing in front of the ball when the Titans received the restart at the end. He was also silent after letting tries in on his side of the field.

My opinion is that he should still be there, but he has been in and out of games the last two weeks and him being dropped takes pressure off other players who are not performing.

That might be the case. Having a player in our ranks that needs resting after 2 games really sums it up for us.

Total over reaction imho.

Jennings had to go (should never have been here in the first place).
Seyfarth would have been my other to go, Would have put Packer in.

Academic anyway, with that many changes it is now going to be very CLUNKY!

Careful what you wish for, I say.

I'm not against a clean-out but if we get lapped by Raiders, what then?

Geo says Moltzen

I wouldn't mind betting that some of the changes are more around cycling the squad through to get minutes under the belt. No point having the same 17 each week, and the other 12 or 13 dont play all year.

Mix it up, keep everyone hungry. Theres no no lower grades remember.

I suspect the same thing myself. To drop him Like that just doesn’t make sense to me. As others have pointed out, there have been Worse who have survived. This probably confirms that it’s Benji’s last year.

I Also think the lack of reserve grade has Madge slightly concerned. No use of having an extended squad if only 17 are fit.

It also gives JRey a shot in his favoured position.
