Marshall hints a comeback to WT.

Not saying put him in charge of senior players . he would be a very good coach for sgball style play where the players aren't as structured and the coachs haven't coach the creativity out of them yet . forget about his last 3 years I know its hard but he was one of th great players and there has been a lot of ordinary players make big contributions to lower grades coaching , think benji would do well . And for junior recruitment he could help bring some talent to club especially kiwi boys

I'd love him at the club in an ambassador role or an assistant in junior recruitment, not as a coach though.

I take it those who give him zero chance of being a good coach tipped Bellamy to be a great coach in his last year of playing.

I knew this garbage would surface eventually, didnt think it'd be this soon though - he hasnt even left yet

How the hell could he coach anyone?
He is an instinctive player who doesnt play to structures, he cant pass or kick….

Yeh, watch the footy show...thats all this is about
One born every minute

thumbs up

another return of a prodigal son? no thanks… sure he has turned his game around and from my point seems to have lost a lot of the arrogance thing in the last 3 weeks (only 2 of which i think he has played well), but im more than comfortable moving on to the next phase for the club.

They didn't think Susan Boyle could sing either!

You don't know what you can achieve unless you try.

He loves the club and I can appreciate that.

I was thinking more about comparing him to Ricky Stuart…

Yeah I'd never say never at having him back either…see how both parties are placed in 2 years....what was clear the last 2 weeks is that Sheens stuffed Marshall's game by trying to convert him into a playmaker...something he never was nor will never be...

I think Benji is very genuine. Seems like Tall poppy Syndrome is alive and well with some very forgetful fans.

Really we don't know if he can coach or not. I doubt people who watched Wayne Bennett or Jack Gibson instantly thought they'd make great coaches. I'm prepared to hold judgement until he has a crack - he seems a smart man and just because he is instinctive on the field doesn't necessarily mean he can't be a tactical coach.

Anyway I think the comment was more a reflection on the love BM has for the club rather than any concrete plans. He's a club great - we should be finding a place for his type whatever that is.

He's got black and gold in his blood, he helped put the club on the map, he's welcome back anytime… for a swan song or in some other role.

thought he had indicated he'd like to come back in some capacity since all this started.

Be nice to see him back in some capacity, not sure coaching would be his bag, but surely there's marketing and other areas?

Would love to see him coach the Holden Cup team …..... that would be his style !
Ad lib footy, lots of running, not much defence, plenty of points etc etc

he is a smart operator Benji…i really believe he was genuine in what he said...good to see he's not permanently burning his bridges
