Marshall reveals Tigers get out-clause

if players wish to have get out clauses in their contracts then so be it.
they are looking after the own interests.
I wonder if the coaches have them too.
its a shame we cannot have them in our own individual mortages, or car loans!!!

I wonder if Sheens was sacked and replaced with Kearney Marshall would leave?

Now that would be interesting.

I have heard that a few top Tigers have no Tim clause. Robbie, Payton?

Just putting this out there but maybe Sheensy is just tryen to show every-one that he is boss and if any one dares get rid of him or keeps questioning his coaching that if he goes Benji goes <basicaly holding="" the="" club="" ransom="">. Smart move if this is what he is doing because im sure Humphreys and the board would not even consider not renewing his contract or sacking him now because Benji will go too.</basicaly>

Sheens did not say anything about Benji and his get out clause Benji said that so its not Sheens trying to show everyone who is boss, if Benji didnt say anything then no one wouldve heard of this get out clause… I think we all have to realise that without Sheens this club would most likely be in dire straits he has improved our reputation and kept stars like Marshall and Farah at the club... I also have heard around the grounds that Sheens was asked about this by the tele as they had already had some info about it so he just responded as they were goin to put it to press anyways... In my opinion i cant believe that everyone is puttin this on Sheens instead of the imbosilic factions that were considering gettin rid of Benj...

The leak has likely come from the Western Suburbs fossil faction. They don't like Sheens' plans for State Cup next year and want him gone as well. Probably feeling threatened by it all and decided to kill the two birds with the one stone in putting division in both Sheens and Marshall. The sooner the Magpies fossils die, the sooner the joint venture can move forward.

It wasn't the Western Suburbs fossil faction behind this latest debacle though.

That comes down to a particular bitter sole from the Balmain Fossils

You mean a bitter old Balmain Fossil leaked the info that the Wests fossil's wanted Benji gone…..that's hilarious yet very sad........

Soon as ALL the fossils are gone the better..........

Really dose it matter, coaches and players come and go and their are always new ones just around the corner. Its all about the club. Sheens must be judged on his results and if he is going okay by mid season sure offer him a new contract, but if the wheels have fallen off show him the door and if it means half the players follow him so be it. As for the board, well theirs factions in every board room and thats why you have a board room to get a diverse thought process. I suppose we would could have a dictatorship and put comrade Sheens in charge.

Anyway the whole thing probably all came from a miss quote by a brain dead sports scribe who wanted a headline on a slow news day

As Sonny Bill showed last year every player has a get out clause…...you just grab a cab to the airport.....I wouldnt worry too much about Benji walking.....wont happen. but if benji does hint of leaving should we punt the Fonz.... I like what I am seeing with Stephen Kearney..as kiwi coach he would be building a bond betwwen himself and Benji.....would only be a positive for us

Most have mortages on the board for life. Voting them off is close to impossible at the moment. Both membership bases really need a influx of united Wests Tigers fans to join and make a stand….. but numbers keep falling every year.

Can anyone answer why Sheens waited till he was overseas to hit back at factions within the joint venture?

The sooner we get rid of both Balmain and Wests from State Cup the better. We should have Wests Tigers in State Cup.

Do u think any kids born in the last 10 years give a stuff about Wests or Balmain? They care about Wests Tigers. Sure, it would be sad to see the end of them, but in reality, its all about survival these days. Can u imagine not having an NRL side to support? Is having Balmain and Wests in State Cup going to float your boat? Who's going to support them when our generation passes? Maybe the odd guy who like to reminisce about his old man taking him to the footy as a kid, but thats it.

Im sick of all this Balmain fossils and Wests fossils talk, its about time these maggots stopped living in the past and started thinking about whats best for our future. Its been 10 bloody years for gods sake, and this stuff is still going on. We need to be one entire entity right through the grades.

Everything should be aimed at our survival and success, and that has to include being one whole entity. Lets think what the next generation wants, start planning ahead, instead of hanging onto to past memories that wont mean a thing to our kids when we die.

Tim Sheens is the most suited coach for the Tigers. Bar none.

I am sick of coach Sheens bashers.

Now for some Fact.

- Tim is a 4 time premiership winner. Very few in the modern age have done this.
- WT are not the richest club and are still punching above their weight in terms of resources Vs results
- We are a club that relies on organic growth of players. We do not poach like Roosters, Souths or Melb etc. This is were we have excelled in past years. Tim has instituted a pathway for the juniors to make their way through.
- Lastly (for Now) I have seen the tigers and magpies when they were crud teams. They couldnt get a decent players or a reputable coach (remember Terry the %$^%$ Lamb).

Tim Sheens and his time @ WT has given us 2005 and the club we are all so excited about in 2010.

The Superstars of our club Benji, Robbie, Chris L, Ellis, Highno, Payten are all unanimous in Praise for the Man

Stick up for your own… There isnt anyone better out there.
