ill take him back as long as farah goes. He can play 9 with mania next yr.

No thanks.

Matt Parcell looks like a gun hooker

Drinkwater won't be at the tigers in 2017

Hope so, he should be no where near the NRL team, as for Benji, if Brooks or Moses goes and he comes for a reasonable price then yes, if not then no.

I think he was the pick of the Ipswich boys, Happy Tiger was giving him a big rap last year and the little of what I saw of him in the 2015 reserve grade grand final was very impressive

People want Anasta to come back and help the roosters out now too?
LOL

Id have him back tomorrow…....in marketing and as a part time coaching assistant with our halves and under 20's.

Nothing more.

A clear indication of where we're at as a club when Chris Lawrence, Mr Liability for the last 4 years apart from a reasonable 2015, now uses his leadership(?) status to take us back to the days when HE was most comfortable.

The NRL world isn't CHANGING Rowdy, it's CHANGED already. You haven't!!!

Get rid of this goose as some supposed spokesperson for the club. It's downright embarrassing.

Wow… all that to a throwaway line to a jurno on a slow news day...

It seems L thinks Rowdy spotted a journo walking past, grabbed him by the shirt and said: "Hey, I wanna tell you my thoughts on Benji…got a minute?"

Sorry Geo but you keep claiming players are using "throwaway " lines , as you did with Jesse

Here's another way of approaching the question

"Benji's years with the club will never be forgotten by his team mates and fans "

"But Benji's taken one direction and the club another direction "

"Mitchell Moses is the future of the WT's , we need to focus on that "

Was that so hard or is Rowdy to concerned with how his mate Benji will react along with Cappucino Tigers that all ended up at the Sharks or the Footy Show ??

My point is the only way we will get away from the past is to totally separate ourselves from the past

  It's never going to happen…so don't get your panties in a twist...

If that is Chris opinion why should he say different ...he also praised the young players...

I'm not interested in signing Benji, but there are alot of throw-away lines that he is past it.

While his 'best' football is most definitely behind him, I feel some have forgotten he was the runner-up for the Dally M last year.

Where did Robbie finish on the Dally M last year?

Not the point whether he is coming or not

Its the attitude again , if this is their mindset , they will achieve zilch , same with Sue

Be positive with the media , set a good example for the younger blokes

OK …but you are reading way to much into it...I would rather a player speak his mind with the Media than tow a company line with tired old cliche...I'll remember though if we happen to have a crap season I'll put it down to Rowdy wanting Benji back and Jesse wanting to give more on the field as he sees himself as a leader now... :unamused:

His playing days are over but his immediate future appears suited to an assistant/specialist coaching role .

Absolutely! Great idea! Problem will be how Jason Taylor copes, which will probably be not well.

Loved his time at our club except for his last 1 or 2 seasons,he was the most exciting player I have ever seen play hands down. Problem was towards the end you were hoping not to see a diabolical error as much as wanting to see the next miracle pass. His play on GF night will forever live in my brain for its exhilaration.
But his parading around in his new rugby union jersey that time sticks in my guts like a month-old tuna patty. Let bygones be bygones and let the past just be a (mostly) good memory.
