Marshall should finish NRL career at Wests Tigers: Lawrence

His playing days are over but his immediate future appears suited to an assistant/specialist coaching role .

Benji couldn't coach what he had at his best .

Agreed - but he has seem to have learnt to change his game at the Dragons. He appears more composed and plays within himself and takes more of he right options. I think that he could pass those skills on,

On the surface, yeah I'd like to see him back, to finish off his career with us. With everything that happened it's soured his legacy here, could that be redeemed somewhat if he came back though? maybe.

I don't think I'd want him playing though, although as Milky and Kul suggested, centre does seem appealing.

The Days of re-signing players on sentiments should be long gone…..after all it's the reason it got us in a mess in the 1st place.

Rugby League is a Business and that's how we have to operate it .
Benji will always be a Wests Tigers favourite to everyone lets keep it that way.....in the past.

As much as I haven't been able to stomach him the last couple yrs, including when he was here, I'd be lying if this didn't make me feel a little nostalgic. If he could get himself fit, he could be an option I'm the centres.

The club does need an image boost right now. Would be a good way to do it, as long as we don't displace anyone that were looking to resign, I.e. Brooks and moses

Lawrence seems to be doing a lot of talking lately ..maybe he might try to spend more time on the field for the over 600k he is being paid this season less talk more action thanks!

What do you guys think he would be worth $200,000 - $300,000 a Season.

It would be like an Anasta signing nothing was achieved by getting him here.
We have allowed Moses and Brooks to learn the hard way in finding there feet in the NRL, let's not even contemplate in changing things around now.
They have learnt the hard way and within 2 years they will be an absolute dynamite of a partnership I reckon.

The players, the coaches, the board and the punters have to focus on looking forward and stop looking back. Benji will always be remembered as one of the greats at the WestsTigers so just lets leave it at that.

Of course if either Brooks or Moses decided to take up a offer elsewhere things might be different, but that of course would depend who is on the market

As SC says - "Look forward, not back".

I don't think he has anything to offer us now - too slow and basically plays off the cuff. You can't teach "off the cuff" plays to anyone else. He has learnt a little more structure in the past year (he has had to, so he could survive). He knows no more about structured play than Brooks or Moses. If one of our young guys left we have Rankin to fill the spot. More than capable,

He is now too slow (especially for centre?).

If you want a good send off, let him do a lap at a home game - you don't have to sign him to do that. Know he WAS good, one of our best but personally I prefer bygones to be bygones.

I think he has been our best player by a fair way and I'd love to see him back. I don't know where you would play him though.

I wonder if he could take on a coaching role.

You need to pull an 0 off before he becomes attractive

I though that Marshall's career was finished at the Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We arent in a position to make sentimental signings unfortunately,it would be nice to see him finish with wests but we need to prioritise signings.
Love Benji all the same!

Bringing Pat Richards back didn't really let us down…
Maybe Benji could lead us to a grand final win before he throws in the towel?
Doubt it though, not worth taking a chance with either.
There is no position for him in our team, full strength.

If Moses and Brooks do not re-sign, he might be an option. We let Martin go, and not sure that we have a whole lot coming through that could play 1st grade next year. Much better option than Drinkwater.
