Heard from a little bird that the NSW Waratah's have offered Benji 650K a season for three years. Haven't been able to confirm it and have not heard it anywhere else. Just putting this rumor out there.

I don't want him to go anywhere, just heard an offer that I have not heard before. He is due a contract upgrade and he wants to secure his future. Members are entitled to know everything and due to the fact that most contract discussions are very secretive rumors are all we have. The club has a hard decision to make regarding Benji.

A little bit of sanity people - Marshall wants to stay, the players want him to stay, the coach (apparently) wants him to stay, the marketing team want him to stay, the vast majority of young WT supporters (not the jaded cynical Magpie or Balmain fans - you know the ones that matter moving forward) want him to stay - so he will stay - it will come down to at what $$.
We all know his form has been down this year, in fact a few years and i think it will take a little for him to become a danger again, but he can. Oh and by the way, I hate the Media Beat UP about him leaving cuz his ass was put on the bench last week. Every great player in the past has had a rocket put up them and played down. He deserved the rocket and i think he manned up, didnt dry about it and when he came on he looked better than he had for ages - i think that will continue tonight. My way of thinking is that IF Benji (or more likely Tauber) is embarrassed or insulted enough by that to want out then don't let the door hit you on the way out - despite all the individual brilliance around in the NRL, it still is and will always be a team sport - no one person is bigger than the team or the game. I heard the exact same RUMOUR today!!

Apparently tigers offered him a contract yesterday, he didnt like it. The Tah's have been hoovering around him and made him an offer aswell. I was told 600k.

Apparently in the paper today (herald) have said negoatiations have been put off for a few weeks so he can focus on his footy(I havent seen or read this) thats apparently a load of crap.. its because he is considering the the Tah's deal.

Im not sure when its starting I was told next year but I dont think Benji would leave earlier then his contract is up would he??

The source im not going to reveal but the guy was apparently told this personally by benji..WHO KNOWS!!!

if he wants to go play rugby after he fulfils his current contract as wests-tigers, then he can.

if he says \I want more money, otherwise I will go, then call his bluff.
