So we have those blaming Blair, Sheens, Moltzen, Heighno and the other regulars. Why is Marshall a protected species? We needed him to stand up tonight after losing Sirro jnr and he was awful no taking the line on, passes to ground, rubbish kicking game, no organizing. He was plain awful.

Now let's wait for the usual dribble blaming others and excusing the Messiah?

To be frank all of the above pretty much sum up Benji unfortunately … 2seasons ago we would of won that game with Marshall on there line so much at the back end of the game very poor!

He's been in worse form slumps, but gee he is struggling. Simple mistakes over and over again. Its bad. Robbie is carrying him. His effort to stop the last try was disappointing.

I kinda agree with op. I'm usually benjis biggest defender but his experience and natural talent ( he does have it) had to be on display tonight and it wasn't. Robbie can only do so much and he even took the bombing duty from benji. Benji is past it…whatever it is.

The reason Marshall is playing crap IMO , no Lui a genuine halfback that controls a game and knows when to kick to corners and build pressure . Marshall is to erratic and has been easily worked out now ( defence just need to sit backand wait for him when he goes side ways).

This. I think alot of people praise Benji when it comes off and hate him when it doesn't. That's Benji, sometimes its good, sometimes it's bad. I don't like to bag him out, much like I don't like to bend over backwards for him when it comes off because he playsb a risky style.

Having "defended" him, I gotta say, his bombs are terrible. I don't know what the tactic is, but it hasn't worked in the last 3 or so games, time to start kicking for field position. We might not gain as much of an advantage from field position kicking, but it puts more pressure on the opposition than a 50/50 bomb or a kick that lands on the 30m line.

People saying "drop him" are idiots. The side is built around Benji, who the hell would you replace him with? Get off the grass and think about what you're saying.
