A lot of the great goal kickers were pretty average players. El Masri, Halligan, Jason Taylor & Jarrod Crocker come to mind, but they were so valuable to their teams for their kicking alone.
By all accounts, Rhys Martin is averaging better than those guys at present. God, I'd be happy to have a sharp shooter like him in our team because we have floundered in this area for far too long!
I can't believe that, with all the coaching staff we've had over the past 5 or so years, no one has addressed this problem properly. Do they not practice? I think it's telling that Moses is kicking at around 84% now he is with Parramatta, yet he was as inconsistent as Marsters when he was here. Moses has improved , Marsters hasn't. Why aren't we doing something about this?
