The point with the Roosters is kicking is not as much a priority as with our team what 8 tries the other night .. they go up in 4

That is a quote from a Geo post the other day, when Geo was defending Marsters and his kicking, not my words.

It is time to promote Gamble to first grade centre. His goal kicking and field goal ability would have allowed Tigers to easily win last night's match. He also has a booming clearing kick which would also be very handy, Drop Jennings - he is too slow and lumbering for a centre and has been given enough chances.

Good God no way. He would have been accused of taking control of the game, over calling Brooks and trying to win the game by himself.

I agree. Thought Jennings looked better yesterday, but still not a FG centre. Within our top 30 it has to be Gamble at 1 or 3\. It is a bit shennius, but we are stuck.

I would prefer to see Jennings on the wing not center and bring a reputable goal kicker into the side. Every other team has one, and we have one that only started doing it last season

Team selection will be interesting this week, saw nofaluma in the stands he must be close to coming back, however I'm not sure who should make way for him.

Well what does this mean
As a centre I would probably only want Latrell Mitchell ahead of Marsters in my team but that’s me…

Ironically Mitchell kicks at 73% overall which is almost identical to Marsters…maybe his miss by less or something

The first sentence was in reply to Marsters in the team as a centre and apart from Mitchell I would still have him in my team

The second means exactly that Marsters and Mitchell have almost identical overall goal kicking percentages..

I noticed you ignored a subsequent post where I said Marsters has a lot of work to do on his Goal kicking..Wests Tigers are not that flushed with options..Tyson Gamble is probably the best goal kicker in the Club but I wouldn't put him in the centres on that alone over Marsters but that's me

So there is an option for goal kicker but Madge’s love child Jennings will have to make way . Personally I would drop Masters his general game is rubbish and obviously has an attitude problem atm a wake up call back to ISP might help remedy that .. so there is an option .

I’m really in the coaches boots and think they really had a crack but execution let us down.

Poor teams have poor execution, we were poor, we are a poor team because of our execution.
Having a crack doesn't make the top 8, we've been "having a crack" for a while now.
When the Titans lose 10 games straight, I'm sure Brennan will also say "our effort is good, we're just not executing" it's a really bad excuse, it's a soft way of saying "were a crap football side"

Marsters' confidence was shot. Giving Gamble a go for Jennings sounds like its worth a go. I hope we try that, because we definitely need something…

Cant believe some want to drop Marsters. Yes his form is a little down, but it's clearly a confidence thing. He is showing glimpses, but then making a terrible mistake, often just after a good run. He has to simplify things. Give the kicking up, and run hard. Sometimes he needs to step just once, but will step 3 times. Be more direct. He is a key player for us and you dont drop those because of a few bad goal kicks and dropped balls.

On Jennings, I thought he ran with a lot more purpose last night and looked good.

Can't believe he missed that one in front. Even the rest of the side was back over halfway because it was such a sitter.

Then Cleary who does bugger-all with the football in hand, but kicks goals like he's throwing them over.

Marsters is the last choice. If, and its a big if, Gamble is a decent option at centre, then Jennings to left wing, Thompson to the right wing outside Marsters.

Yeah its easy to be emotional after that rubbish served up by everyone last night. But how do you come up with Marsters having an attitude problem? Attitude is about effort and Marsters lead all the team for metres for the last 2 weeks and was second in round 1\. He leads the NRL for offloads and is top 5 for tackle busts. Hardly strikes me as someone with an attitude problem. Do we need to find a better kicker? Definitely. But The kid is one of our most dangerous players and has put his hand up every week in the effort department. He still has mistakes to get out of his game but always looks dangerous and likely. Plenty of other players that offer far less in the squad and contribute little.
