Is there any real truth to this rumour?

I'm not trying to be smart or knobbish but basically it's true it's a rumour. From what I can tell it seems to have more meat than some of the random stuff on social media but well short of a worst kept secret thing.

A lot of it makes sense - Manly have massive cap issues and Marty is on good coin. If they could get someone to pay a lot of his wage it'd help them. Question is, how much would it cost us and is he the right fit for us now?

He is a forward that can really bend the line, and when he was here seemed to fit in well before , and under Cleary, i think he would only improve. If there is any truth in the rumour, we should get him back.

We need an impact forward - we have the toilers and grafters but we need someone (along with Packer) who can do some damage. If Manly pay at least a portion of his wage (which you would assume they would do), then why not? He fits the bill.

Manly fans are sick of him making the big runs then doing a sloppy play the ball. Or an offload to no one and a play or two later being back to where they started.
If you could get all that and the penalties out of his game. He could be valuable but at the moment for field position. In some ways you arr better off having someone who has less mistakes so you can keep the pressure on.

BUT from what I heard he is on heavy backended contract next year.
So doubt we would entertain the idea unless Manly picks up at least half + of his contract

I would love to see him bak here as he played excellent for us and made his name..
Time will tell I suppose.

I would pay him big dollars. He is worth it.

Eisenhuth, Rochow, Twal, Taylor etc are all the same style forward who defend well and do alot of work, but have no real ability to bend the line or have any real impact on the game. For balance we need a few forwards who can put a bit of fear into the backline and get us going forward. None of the above go close to doing that unfortunately.

I would grab him in an instant, sign him for another 2-3yrs and get him into the squad this year.

Some have too many blinkers on how well we started but despite our great defence pack mentality and 1 & run hit up mode we lacked alot which teams have worked us out now.

We need to power through and 2nd phase play if we are to score points with Benji/Brooks and no name hookers playing.

The way Afoa, Paasi and co charged at us yesterday, we need someone to help Packer dent the opposition line.
I don't want to help Manly out of their cap problems, but Marty could be a big plus for us.

Absolute beast when he's on his game, would be a very handy addition.

He ran more today than our entire pack yesterday just about…I wouldnt say no but Ive got my doubts it will happen

its so funny how most on here thought that our forward stocks looked so good, but in the last 3 weeks we have been run over, yes are blokes are all triers but we lack bulk, said at the start we needed another big prop and a robust backrower and now we also need another center. bring greg bird home we need him mongrel approach and i dont care about the blokes past as long as he is allowed to play i dont give a rats.
