Masada Iosefa in 2013

I saw enough of him last year to grow fond of the guy, but obviously as a hooker/half-back option there isn't a lot of room left for him in first grade.

Is he destined for NSW Cup next year and maybe a couple of appearances around origin time? How or where would you use him next year? Is he a chance in the half-back spot next season?

I'd love to see him get a crack somewhere as he looked like a genuine attacking threat in his time on the paddock last year. His defense is a bit "Sandow" (all shoulder) but don't think it's any worse than Miller's may be.

On a side note, he is very highly rated in Rugby League live so I start him at lock :roll :righton:

Backup to Farah. If he can improve his defence he would be a very good backup as he makes good metres out of dummyhalf. Despite a high workrate he is let down by poor defence.

+1

We've got a few pretty decent players who just aren't going to have spots

I might have either him or Moltzen as your super sub, they'd both offer a little something in different ways

yeah not a bad point. could slot into 9 if you move farah to 7 of vice versa if the half-back isn't offering much. if anything he is just a player who can add some creativity which we really lacked last year.

Massive liability in defence … Geez remember the days when good, honest hookers like Michael Bolt would make 50 tackles in an arvo and still find the energy to burrow over from dummy half to score the match winner in the shadows of full-time (oK, maybe that last bit was Mario Fenech, don't remember Bolty scoring many).

Masada needs to start looking like he cares a bit more to get a tick from Snoddy.
At times last season, when the other mob had the pill he looked like Blairs midget cousin, the two of em invariably lying side by side, faces down in the turf, track marks to our try line running right between the two of em.

Great name but.

I actually rated him before he joined us. Watching him play for us was disappointing. He relies on strength, but has no skill, taking many poor/selfish options. Defence a real worry. Sorry but I cant find a place in our top 19.

He will be better with a full nrl off season , remember we got him mid season from mounties. But will have to be at his best to make a fully fit squad ,as will Moltzen .

Don't you worry about Moltzen, he's gonna be so hot next year opposition coaches will be assigning three defenders to the task … Two to make the tackle and a third to observe and take notes on just how Timmy managed to get past the first two. I would suggest a fourth to simply stand, mouth agape and applaud, yet the Terrigal Master also has the ability to draw and pass ... Four defenders on one might leave the defense a little sparse and lonely in other, less dynamic sectors of the park.

Buckle up people,
2013 is to be the Year of The Beleaguered Utility.

He had plenty of mates in the poor defence department. Shows plenty of aggression and that's what I like about him. Hopefully a full off season with the lads and an absolute caning from Potter and the rest of the coaching staff we could well see him as a different player next year.

Last year although he did some flashy things and played with a lot of energy, he let himself down a lot of the time. His defense was poor and in attack he took a lot of selfish options. If he could play a more structured game and pull some flashy plays out of the bag every now and than he would be a better player. Iam sure Potter will be talking to the whole squad about playing the percentage game

on Rugby League Live, I use him in the second row & Reddy @ lock.
Absolutely kill it with this combo…

Would love to see him be used in the 2nd row in real life, haha but realistically - I'd have him as #14
or back up for #7 or #9
