Anyone heard of defence???

I don't care how many points are scored, we need to win. A loss could see us drop to 5th, a win will put us at equal second.

Your right, those scores look more like those out of the NYC than NRL.

Some of those games don't really reflect that statement.

- 16-13 between the Dragons and Bunnies isn't a high scoring affair.
- The Broncos obviously had relatively good defense to limit the Titans to two tries.
- Canberra let in 18 points with in the second half. Your team will tend to take the foot off the pedal when they're leading 40-0 at half time.

I'll concede the other games were starting to look like basketball scores.

How are 29 and 34 point games reasonably high?

29's the same as 15-14, 19-10 etc. 29-0 is a different story.

34's the same as 20-14, 18-16 etc. 34-0 is a different story.

Not high scoring at all.

I didn;t say one sided I said high scoring.
As far as I'm concerned 5 or 6 tries in a game means that the defence (of one or both teams) wasn;t particularly crash hot. It may well be normal these days but that's a comment on the quality of defence.

Just out of interest do you have a thought on the other 4 games (more than half the round) that averaged over a point every 80 seconds?

I know you didn't say one sided, but i was making a point that a game that could be 15-14 is not high scoring, but 29-0 could be perceived to be high scoring.

I don't consider our game (26-16, so 42 points) to be high scoring either, but 42-0 I do.

And yes, the other games were high scoring.
