Really, helmsey? i thought he started well, got injured played poorly for the remaining games. He's 32, 33 next year. Don't really want him when we can have BMM, siro, fults and sue in the back row.

I think hes very underrated as a lock.When he was on the field in 2012 as a lock we were winning the defensive armwrestle.It was just his much bigger frame than fultons that worked wonders.I know thats 2012 but I thought he was wasted a bit at prop.He is definitely good depth and if hes cheap enough certainly I would retain him for the younger forwards.

Bell on his pay would be worth the depth of another contract.

As correctly pointed out above, in 2012 when Heighno broke his leg against Souths Bell came into a side that then went on to win 7 in a row. His defensive work rate was under rated. I am sad to see him go.

if we keep him it is at the expense of a youngster in the squad, most likely Vela, I'd rather them go with potential than a dime a dozen, albeit reasonable, option like Bell
