Ross Conlon, one day a prolific-scoring winger for Western Suburbs Magpies , the next he's a centre for Balmain Tigers - and popular at both clubs too!

[Yossarian]

Ace kicker and probably underrated as a player. That stuttering walk in to his kicks is one of my biggest memories watching the Tigers growing up,

Centennial Park?

Would have felt like he was carrying Centennial Park

Few names there that have had me scratching my head, especially the captain, Tim Murphy.
I was still playing footy at that time but had moved from league to rugby with a few mates. Footy average but socially fantastic !

Spear tackles were so common when i was a kid
It always seemed to confuse me how the commentary was always so not fussed over them like its not a big deal when 9yo me could see they seemed quite dangerous.
Good these are out of the game now
