@Tiger Watto said:**Brisbane have one of the best off-field set ups in the NRL**, so he is at the right club if he is getting a second chance. Not much happens in Brisso that Wayne's Brother doesnt know about!
He doesnt need the NRL to sign off on his registration for the Q Cup, but the Broncos will require NRL approval if they want to use him at any stage.
If he can behave, could be a good depth signing.

Spoken like the TRUE Unca Wayne Donkey fan you are..
Lodge would be on his 5th or 6th 2nd chance which is probably 5 to many but i guess what Unca wants Unca gets…

Former Wests Tigers prop Matt Lodge is set to return to rugby league after his contract with the Redcliffe Dolphins was cleared by the QRL.
Lodge faced 25 years in a US jail after a rampage in New York City where he was arrested and charged.
While he has since returned to Australia and attempted to rebuild his career, Lodge pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor reckless assault charge from the New York incident.

Lodge also offered to settle a civil lawsuit case against himself through his lawyer, with the court hearing details of the night alleging the former NRL player held one victim in a headlock and punching through a bathroom door.
The junior representative player met with NRL coach Wayne Bennett mid-year, with the Dolphins being the Brisbane Broncos' feeder club.
The club explained why it had taken Lodge on board through operations manager, Grant Cleal.
“We know that our players need stability off the field to perform at their best on the field,” Cleal told the club's website.
“That is why we take such a holistic approach to recruitment and player wellbeing.
“Taking on a young player that is trying to get his career back on track after early setbacks is a big responsibility and one we take very seriously.
“We have the processes and supports in place for all our players to be the best they can be at playing the game and outside of it also.”
